There's apparently a new DLC roadmap leak on reddit... and it kinda looks legit to be honest. It's probably fake, but it does look somewhat real. You can judge for yourselves.

https://www.reddit.com/r/FFXV/comments/5w8y9v/spoilers_ffxv_upcoming_updates_leak/

Just in case, ignore spoilers. You know just in case. Just in case...
Meh, what goes down goes down. We both know that a lot of leaks have turned out to be false. Let's allow reality to be the final judge.

(Knew it wouldn't take long for it to be bought up here lol)

The update claims past 2017 make no sense, Tabata already confirmed that they've outlined their plans throughout this year.

How very interesting.

Whether it's true or false, I will expect this game to be vastly different from its launch counterpart by the end of the update and DLC cycle.

Very delayed of me, but after reading the Pitioss theory yday and now this leak (not saying I believe it 100%), I think this title will be on the forefront of my mind (and for others too) for a very long time.

Good, I say. More FFXV is welcome in my books.

Edit: Reception to these "leaks" seem to be mixed between acceptance and excitement, and just wanting the dev team to move on and create FFXVI... but why? o_O

If they can continue to support a game and make it better, why would you NOT want that? It's been only 3 months since the game released, I mean you want them to move on and create a new game already? Baffling...

That doesn't necessarily mean that there will be no plans extending to the next year. Tabata could have just affirmed a solid roadmap for this year alone. There could be more to come.

I think it's quite possible we could see updates until the next number comes upon us.

I don't mean that future updates after this year won't happen (i fully expect it actually), it's the source's info itself thats questionable, more so how he'd know next year's updates ahead of time.

EDIT: LMAO the topic creator deleted every comment he made on that reddit thread. I'm smelling fake.

The irony is that those comments come from the same type of people who either already had it out for the game pre-release, or got sucked into the hysteria of hyperbolic contempt thrown at it.

The less BD2 pay attention to those whiny idiots, the better.

It makes me wonder... why are they still investing their time into following the game if it "disappointed" them so much?

I mean, just leave and let the people who enjoyed the game continue to enjoy it :/

It's simple. Some people are so selfish that if they don't enjoy something, they make it a goal for them to make other people not enjoy that product either. I recall after FFXIII came out, how some fans of the game on YouTube were getting personally attacked by some people that didn't enjoy it. It was some sad times indeed, which opened my eyes to just how toxic some parts of the fandom are.

"If i didn't like it, NOBODY else should!"

Some people just feel like they're obligated to bark and babble on at others who aren't in their pointless crusade against products that didn't meet their expectations. Its one thing to feel genuine disappointment, which is quite fine. But being over the top about the issues 24/7 is not only beyond unhealthy AF, it also screams self-centered entitlement.

What also grinds my gears, however, is when the same type of entitled people use the "i waited 10 years for this shit" card to justify their ever-growing hyberbolic contempt towards the game. News flash, theres more to life around you than just pinning over Versus XIII/XV. Could it have done some things better? Yes. But it sure as hell isn't worth dragging others who see things differently into a dedicated hate brigade, which at point, the "get the fuck over it" moments couldn't be any more appropriate.

Actually that's even more strange. Because if he was a troll that wanted to get some attention, there is no reason to delete the post.

Let me tell you a funny story.

There is an anime called Sword Art Online or SAO for short. And this particular show has this anti-fan hate group (related videos on youtube still get a lot more likes then dislikes though), but the vocal hate group is very big. And you will find them on every SAO related article and video.

A few weeks ago, a release trailer for the 2017 theatrical film was released and it quickly attracted it's slew of haters. Despite the high thumbs up ratio, the top comments were all bashing the movie which wasn't even out.

So I left a comment...

Watches every SAO related video.
Comments on SAO related topics.
Up to date on everything SAO.
Knows as much as a SAO fan.

SAO haters in a nutshell.

It didn't take long for the haters to start flocking in droves to reply... and the funny thing is, they all said this and that, but none of them tried to deny the truth of my comment. The only reasoning for their actions was...

One needs to be informed and up do date to have an opinion on something.

Hmm mm.

While the statement in itself isn't incorrect... the thing is, no one wants your opinion. Even if you feel the need to express said opinion, all you need to do is write a review, which you can on many sites. But I'll just let another comment explain.

If i don't like a movie, I might watch the first 1 one say it sucks and it wasted my money/time. Why would I then follow the series and waste my time hating it instead of spending my precious time on series i actually like...? The only reason is if I am after something else. I seek attention or i see retribution for not receiving attention, so I try to get attention by hating on the biggest, most popular thing.

Hating on a game is a bit more justified, because you paid for it and tried to justify your investment by playing the game.

But for TV shows like anime, most people just pirate and stream it online, you don't even pay for it. There's just a whole of lot of ironic people.

It's like people calling others weebs on a anime/manga forum. Irony.

I also hate the time investment bs excuse that some people make. "Oh I started it, so it would be a waste of time if I don't see things until the end". That has so much fail logic behind it that it isn't even funny. I don't get what's so hard about dropping a hobby that is no longer enjoyable.

It's probably because they want to enjoy it, and they don't want to lose it. nobody likes losing their favorite hobby, that's why voice their concerns like me for FFXV's story telling, I don't want FF games in the future to have unfinished stories to them, that would probably drive away fans of the golden ages of FF 6,7,8,9,10

The second half of SAO's first season is pretty mediocre to average, it's only parts of the middle with a certain characters that's great, but that's about it. The second half villain that guy that was into Asuna holy shit subtlety wet out the window, it's as almost as if he wanted us to know that this was the guy Kirito was going to kill/defeat. My god wtf was that, the first villain was eons better, hell I would be a better villain than that, that nigga went down like a bitch. Also holy shit what is with the rapey undertones holy shit, SOA went off the rails. Also I'm not a big fan of how the anime looks dreary or when the colors look washed out sometimes. I will say though that first opening WAS THE FUCKING TITS, IT IS AMAZING, ONE OF THE BEST OPENINGS IN ANIME I'VE LISTENED TO.

That's not really valid to me. The one thing you can't ever get back is time. I could understand the frustration if a person had to do something to stay alive as a necessity, but that isn't the case with media. There's a TON of media out there that can be more fitting to somebody if something ends up falling short. Also, what one person defines as the golden age may be completely different from what another person defines it. Hell, I am sure when FFVII came out, there was that segment of the fanbase that didn't like it because they had grown use to experiences provided with I - VI. There is a segment that disliked X because again they had grown used to experiences they had with I - IX. It's the same thing, different day pretty much. I am not going to allow my past experience with something to blind my thought process that may lead to me having a detrimental experience that could have been avoided if I had simply let go.
