I don't get posts like that because of what things have been like with this game for the past 8 years. People have every reason to be skeptical. It's absolutely silly and ridiculous to say that they have zero reasons not to.
Yeah because this game was never at one point called Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Threads about this game would still be made if the game never showed up at E3 2013 just to simply talk about it, which is the point.
And read the thread title. It's a compilation thread of everything we know about this game. Did you know that many Versus compilation threads have been made and posted on various gaming sites? Someone was going to make it regardless of the E3 showing.

The PURPOSE of this thread was because of E3, I don't see why you're so adamant about saying it's somehow not related to E3 in any way, when it clearly is... Yeah, there are tons of Versus topics that existed, but the whole point of this was all about the NEW information about the game shown at E3.

I think you are missing the point here, Squirrel is right. This thread would have been here with a different name "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" rather than "Final Fantasy XV" and this thread would have displayed any information to the game previously known as Versus XIII. The only change last year's E3 brought was the change in the name of this thread. I'm not saying we didn't get anything last year, but basically this thread was never really about the new information. It's about all the information at hand.
And on topic I doubt it's appearance at E3 this year. But hey if it shows up we'll all be more than happy. Looking at the history of E3's we've seen, it's pretty clear SE has let us down more than once. No one likes a Debbie Downer. I see a lot of really upset folks, and I guess I can understand that given the circumstances. But the thing is, if SE decides it's not the time to speak up yet, they don't owe anyone anything. The game clearly had very troubled development that was not shortened by a generational leap (one that I quite approve of). The game seeing no news for those periods does not equal Square Enix slapping fans in the face. They have done us no harm. Yes, the game's had a horribly long development time. Why are we getting mad about that? What has it honestly changed? Things likely could have been handled better on many fronts, but that's all this is is a mistake.
They've promised the silence is over, and up to this stage they've kept their promise on the matter. It's been less than a year since the E3 trailers, and I've seen many a game go longer without substantial information. I'll be giving them the benefit of the doubt on this, but that's just me.

I mean, I do want it to be released right now, but I understand the complexity behind it. I am ok with them taking their time instead of getting a rushed product like FFXIV 1.0

Last generation showed me the harsh realities of the game industry that one cannot ignore. Difficult to accept too. So yeah… I definitely don’t expect the world from Square Enix.
Realistically speaking though, I do strongly think there is pressure from the Board of the Directors and that maybe is what ultimately pushes them to show it at E314. That’s really what I think it comes down to. A project over 8 years in the making, jumping from one platform to another and draining money is not something one can ignore. But you never know! Instead of E3, they maybe preparing for TGS instead as the next big news blow out. PS4 isn’t selling well right now in Japan and showing a game like FFXV over there could help get people excited again. Especially if it’s new information and not old. It would also be a great way to tell Japanese gamers that Square Enix has not forgotten about them.

I think the game will show up at E3 in some way. Maybe not in a big reveal like last year on Sony's press conference but we'll probably get a few interviews, information regarding the characters, world and things like that. Same with KH3. Now, if the game makes it to TGS or not I don't know. What I do know is that they seriously need to keep people interested in the game now that the name-change and platform migration happened. It's been 8 years and even die-hard fans of the franchise can lose interest.
