Not exactly different from much of what other fans have been speculating, but hey, let's take what we've got and hope for the best.

And people are right about the hilarity of the fact that it's April 2014 and we're still not too certain about FFXV being on show. It's only less evasive than The Last Guardian because we can safely surmise that FFXV as a thing exists!

I'm in that thread even as we speak! I'm not sure how reliable Verendus is. He seems to say a lot of things that don't necessarily work out. However, I definitely appreciate the optimism he brings to any given conversation about XV. The way you responded is just the ticket, I think. Cautious attention.

The name Verendus sounds quite familiar. Did this person release info on Final Fantasy (or any series actually), that turned out to be true???

I read it, but he doesn't sound as nearly as confident as last year.

Verendus has also claimed there will be a Kingdom Hearts coming to PS4 this year, and that we can probably guess what it is. 2.5 immediately springs to mind, and such a decision would sound strange on SE's part without an equivalent current gen version of 1.5.

And the big one: he claims a FFVII remake is in development, though the status and capacity of its alleged development is up in the air.

It's the latter prediction that really gives me pause, look at his posts and say "huh?". So I suppose to reiterate, be wary when you read his claims. While he's not been proven to be downright wrong like CBOAT had unfortunately been recently, he's never been proven to be right either. Still, his FFXV guess isn't very unreasonable, and I can imagine that happening.

I still wouldn't be surprised at an early 2016 release for us though.

Ouch, not to be so pessimistic, I don't see the Final Fantasy VII remake being a true claim. Better chance of being real mermaids in the sea's.

I could believe a remake for VII is in development. Albeit, with minor resources. SE probably sits on it until the situation demands its release.

On Final Fantasy XV and XVI (01-28-2013)

I can spill the following comfortably though since I think this developer is a bit of a joke, and I think people are beginning to suspect this anyway. Versus XIII will have another unveiling later this year regarding development for the next generation. It won't have the "Versus XIII" part in the title. It will definitely release in 2014. You can have my account deleted if this information turns out to be inaccurate. News is fresh on this and I'm really confident about it. FF15 and FF16 are underway, both next generation projects. There's a chance FF15, in particular, may be an exclusive release. Kind of. And with that, I'm off to sleep.

On Kingdom Hearts (05-22-2013)

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be on PS4. It's no secret at this stage that the game exists. The question I think Sony fans want answered is whether it's exclusive, timed exclusive or on multiple platforms. Regardless of when that question is answered, Kingdom Hearts fans will be happy because they'll be playing a next generation Kingdom Hearts after years of waiting.

There is a Kingdom Hearts PS4 game due to be released in 2014. I guess obvious enough which one? Not KH3 btw.

On Final Fantasy VII Remake (02-17-2014)

It's happening. He's obviously not going to give any indication as such though so it hardly matters until they're ready to announce something. His comments make sense. It's a huge project that will take a lot of effort, and demand a lot from him personally, in order to ensure the end result is something satisfactory.

You'd have to bring it to a mods attention. But I wouldn't be surprised if the excuse used here is that he was talking about 'Final Fantasy Versus XIII' and not 'Final Fantasy XV' even though they're the same game.

I'd describe myself as pretty confident that they're porting the PC port of FF7 to iOS.

Yeep. But it's an easy port to make. The architecture to a lot of tablets now is so close to PC they can do it, and the low res assets won't look so poor on a tablet-size screen...

Im the only one who think bhunivelze is coming back in ff15? even in lightning return they said they dont know if bhunivelze is die or just sleep in crystal form.

If i recall good Square Enix already stated ff15 world is connect to lightning return world.
