I love these two, even tho they pretty old and outdated:
The song used in the first one really needs to be matched with the final game.
Seriously:
Who I am from the start, take me home to my heart
Let me go and I will run, I will not be silent
All this time spent in vain, wasted years, wasted gain
All is lost, hope remains, and this war's not over
There's a light, there's the sun, taking all shattered ones
To the place we belong, and his love will conquer all
Yesterday I died, tomorrow's bleeding
Fall into your sunlight
But if we also talk about some free updates, easiest way to improve the game would be to just get rid of the Chapter 0 we have now and replace it with the following:
1) Platinum demo
2) Several KG scenes of Niflheim taking over Tenebrae and Regis taking Noct away.
3) Dawn 2.0 scenes of Regis crying with Noct and Luna being abused by Niflheim
4) Potentially some new voiced dialogue scenes from the Novella
Given that the replacement would involve skipping through time anyway, why not just embrace the time jumps and keep Chapter 0?
I feel like the following might be the best way to include everything that ought to be included:
1) Start with Chapter 0, but do more to imply that the jump back in time is intended to mirror Noct reflecting on his life as it draws to an end;
2) Leap all the way back to the Dawn 2.0 scene showing Regis holding Noct after learning of his fate;
3) Shift slightly forward to Noct's injury. Include a stripped-down version of the Platinum Demo (removing the collectable aspect to incentivize the player to move through the levels quickly but including the panels and tutorial aspects);
4) Move on to the opening credits scene from Kingsglaive where Noct and Regis escape from Tenebrae as Luna stays behind;
5) Skip almost all the way to the present to show the Regis-and-the-Crystal scene from the Omen trailer; and
6) End the introduction with the Noct-and-Regis scenes from the stock game.
In general, the point would be to massively front-load the game's lore before veering sharply into the "fantasy based on reality" aspects. Chapter 0 and the Platinum demo would introduce three of the Astrals and a Messenger, Dawn 2.0 would introduce the Lucii, the Kingsglaive scene would introduce Luna and the powers of the King, and the Omen trailer scene would introduce the Crystal. The consistent strand of trauma would help to tie the first five elements of the potential revised prologue together, too.
This is still probably early speculation but imo i'm leaning towards doubt there will actually be another season pass this year. I mean we already have a release date announcement for both the PC/RE edition.
As Storm mentioned, besides the fact that they haven't annouced one yet so far (or even the 2018 Roadmap itself), i'm inclined to believe that because Tabata wants to go for quality > quantity by releasing content only when they're ready instead of hastily getting each individual update out on time like last year (not that i'm putting a damper on their efforts mind you), that decision may have influenced the team to not follow the season pass route this time.
I could be wrong, but as of now i think its likely.
They could always sell the DLCs as they come out and offer a season pass version after the fact. XD; Tabata's mention of releasing content only when it's ready does seem to imply that he doesn't want to have to deal with the hard deadlines that come along with a season pass.
