Almost reminds me of Xenoblade X were people made a big deal about the 2014 e3 trailer 'downgrade downgrade downgraaaaade!" yet the treehouse footage won people over.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch i say.

Eh, I think many of the things shown at E3 are likely due for a downgrade eventually - this is really starting to become common practice.

With XV in its current state, their PC development builds don't seem to look outrageously better than the console builds - they look much more scalable.

the fal'cie/gods in the XIII trilogy were like machines, so the three figures on the cover could very well be Lindzei, Pulse and Bhunivelze like one mentioned before; btw you can read the word "Lindzei" in a Kingsglaive's scene, so they might retain their names after all.

Wow, which scene was this? I want to see if I can spot any more.

and guys, the leaks are fake, L Spiro who worked on the game confirmed.

Whoever it is definitely does not have inside information.
It's a guy looking for attention, and everyone is just giving it to him.

I really like the idea of Ardyn being one of the kings of Lucis tho :/

Something that I have not commented before, they need to adjust a bit how the camera changes angles when you activate the party commands, sometimes Noctis tends to be out of frame more than needed (and seens to gain some invincibility frames)

Looking at some of the Titan´s Trial demo on youtube and other combat videos, this is very notorious when your party far away from Noctis.

Yeah, I spotted it a little while ago. Took me ages. Personally, I'm surprised they retained the names in any form. This Gamescome interview from last year said that the specific terminology was being removed, and the GameSpot interview from Pax Prime all but said they weren't using Etro's name (her basically being the source behind Eos' goddess figure/logo artwork). But then, they're also supposed to have said they weren't using FNC in toto, which contradicts much of the other evidence. But I'm digressing.

And I never actually saw the stuff about Ardyn being a Lucian king. I just got the stuff about him being ridiculously ancient (reminds me of the codswhallop flying around about Tales of Zestiria's ending before its release, also stemming from 4Chan). At least we know it's baseless, so I can continue speculating about him being someone attempting to subvert the Crystalline powers-that-be, but using violent and domineering methods to do it. Got him pegged as main villain now.

I knew these were fake, especially after the recent discovery I made about a few select people that really put the final nail in the coffin.

Thanks for sharing this, and thanks to L Spiro on GameFAQs for clearing this up!

Seeing this meant it was safe for me to finally check it out. I'm not going to say anything about any of the details, but I am at least 100% convinced that the leaker had direct knowledge of the Titan fight. I read his decription of it, and you have to read it in the voice of an idiot to get it, but he clumsily describes it, names it and everything. I hope he was making up the rest and all, and the rest certainly sounds like what the worst kind of hater out there caught the E3 info and made up the rest, but there's still room to interpret the rest of it as written by a complete idiot that still ends up being more or less true, at least on the key points. I liked the Ardyn one, for example, lol.

But to say he had no inside knowledge, I'm sorry, that's patently false.

Feels nice letting the crow eating commence. Metacritic should be interesting at this point.
This is the best day ever. Vindication on everything I get crap for about this game, all kinds of new videos to geek out over. Ate so much shrimp I got fat. Followed that up with sushi. Fought off a fucking bear in my back yard. Oh, and it's my actual birthday.

Yes, a real bear, btw. It was the coolest thing that's ever happened to me, lol. It didn't maul me or mouthing, but it was between me and my car and thus my sushi, so I walked up to it, literally 7 feet from me, out in the open, put my arms up and yelled as loud as I could and it got spooked and ran to the tree line.

Best. Day. Ever.

Oh boy, that fucking city. I've been craving for some city gameplay since this game was announced to have cities (last decade!). It looks absolutely gorgeous, especially at night, really reminds me of some villages and old city parts here in Spain (without all the gigantic waterfalls and canals, that is).

Another FFVI reference (the lady in the painting), the reconfirmation that we get hunts in restaurants/hotels/shops all around the world (loved those in XII), THE COLOSSEUM! I fucking love Colosseums. Also (unrelated to Altissia), but it seems we can remove the characters' jackets at will (it says "Royal Prince's Battle Dress (No Jacket)" in Noctis' menu, during Tabata's presentation).

The Flying Regalia looks much, much better and free than I ever anticipated. Some shots (like the Caem's lighthouse one) just look so atmospheric and beautiful. And I like the landing thing, it really has weight to it.

The demo is still weird, doesn't get me hyped at all as I think it's pretty awkward and par for the course (in terms of gameplay, not visuals). I still think they butchered a very good opportunity during MS's conference (which is what casual players are going to watch), but the rest has been good, veeery good.

BTW: I've read that there are three battle modes: Active, Wait and Default. I guess the Default is just the default option for people who don't remember it (so, Active). For a moment I thought it could mean a "no hold the button down" option, but to be honest you can already do that in Active.
