Oh boy, that fucking city. I've been craving for some city gameplay since this game was announced to have cities (last decade!). It looks absolutely gorgeous, especially at night, really reminds me of some villages and old city parts here in Spain (without all the gigantic waterfalls and canals, that is).
Another FFVI reference (the lady in the painting), the reconfirmation that we get hunts in restaurants/hotels/shops all around the world (loved those in XII), THE COLOSSEUM! I fucking love Colosseums. Also (unrelated to Altissia), but it seems we can remove the characters' jackets at will (it says "Royal Prince's Battle Dress (No Jacket)" in Noctis' menu, during Tabata's presentation).
The Flying Regalia looks much, much better and free than I ever anticipated. Some shots (like the Caem's lighthouse one) just look so atmospheric and beautiful. And I like the landing thing, it really has weight to it.
The demo is still weird, doesn't get me hyped at all as I think it's pretty awkward and par for the course (in terms of gameplay, not visuals). I still think they butchered a very good opportunity during MS's conference (which is what casual players are going to watch), but the rest has been good, veeery good.
BTW: I've read that there are three battle modes: Active, Wait and Default. I guess the Default is just the default option for people who don't remember it (so, Active). For a moment I thought it could mean a "no hold the button down" option, but to be honest you can already do that in Active.
