Same here, what a 10th it is. Ten years ago, when it was part of the grand FNC project/mythos, and it was going to be this amazing PS3 exclusive. And Square Enix just had to stick with archaic development styles and get the entire project stuck in development hell.

Now look at it, after a name change and staff/work structure changes galore: it's realized what it could and improved on the rough patches, pushed the mythos into the background and removed the terminology so people don't thrown XIII-related hate at it, and are bringing it to everyone worldwide on the same day. Yep, it's been a crazy ten years. Only one thing to say about this, and it's Luna's clear reaction to all the roadblocks that stood in its way.

Outta the way!

You did, although they're not major. Several prominent mobile titles, like Agito (sadly defunct) and Mobius (hopefully will come West) and Record Keeper.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing which direction they take with XVI - It probably won't be super-realistic, and they'll dump FNC as soon as possible with XV out of the way, so it'll be original lore and original story. Personally, my dream would be them collaborating with another company like Atlus to create a fusion of action and turn-based gameplay to satisfy both RPG fan-parties, while creating a atypical pseudo-Medieval setting and having another strong leading female (nothing like Lightning, of course) to front the game.

EDIT: Oh, and Crisis Core wasn't a mobile title. There was a mobile spin-off from Dirge of Cerberus, but nothing for Crisis Core (I think).

It's crazy how much these people look like their characters, particularly these two:

well I think Noctis and his sleeping (which means he dreams a lot) is a way the gods communicate with him?

what happens in the Platinum Demo is clear to me, Carbuncle (a god) is showing to Noctis what he must accomplish in the future, it's like his training him for what's to come. Not only that, but Omnia Lacrima lyrics...

Dormit deus faciunt. Dormit perpetua.

Our master has succumbed to endless sleep.

Dormit domine. Nobis caelum som - Somnus caelum ignosco.

With him sleeps power. Sleeps our beloved sky, begging for forgiveness.

Auroram videre potest?

Can we once again see the dawn?

Deus dormit in voc suci. Liberi ini et sabe en pacum.

Defeated, our master sleeps and calls his children through his dreams.

Mane tempus expergiscendi. Etagen veni omnia dividi.

Behold the day of glory, at last awakened by the whispers of dawn.

Icor possit fabris tori alu yatrae corun dea.

Know that we will fight. We are protected by our goddess.

Mane tempus expergiscendi. Etagen veni omnia divi ex.

Behold the day of glory, awakened. The coming danger divides us all.

Liberi… et liberi ignem faciunt.

The children… and the children have lit a flame.

Requiensa vide ende! Omnia sangvinem!

For our master to find his peace. All is stained in blood!

[GREEK]Kyrie eleison!

Rest in peace!

Aeterna volutu deus somnus.

Eternal, tormenting in his sleep.

are so damn cool... "Defeated, our master sleeps and calls his children through his dreams."

anyway, even knowing FFXV it's not part of the FNC anymore, I can't help to associate the "master" with Bhunivelze, he was the sleeping god and the god of light in the XIII series, and this line "With him sleeps power. Sleeps our beloved sky, begging for forgiveness." makes me think his weakening/sleeping is leading to the dying of the light.

All Game Informer gameplay from the clips all cut into a single clip for your viewing pleasure. There's some old stuff mixed in, but it looks like they were trying to make it make sense in context chronologically.

Anyway, worth a watch even if you've seen it all.

I would be careful watching that, cause all of the GI clips are from chapter one of the game. Putting them all in order might really start to spoil the game. Also, the E3 2013/Jumpfesta 2014 footage is kinda jarring because it looks very Versus-y due to having Nomura-era scene footage....and I don't think it has been inserted in the correct places timeline wise. For someone that hasn't cared at all about this project, the footage might be interesting though.
