Okay then, but I don't have the Windows Edition, and I'm not really a data-miner myself, I only just read on them. Also, about those unused animations of Ravus, can we see them if they are out there as gifs?
Well, for starter's here is Ravus being KO'd.



I'll have to look through the server and see if I can find the other gifs, apparently they were trying to confirm about some being used or unused. One set apparently belongs to a kind of rare animation, so a lot of people were talking and trying to figure out if there was some sort of set trigger for it within the game or if it's some sort of random one.

Ravus can't actually be downed as a guest, but he does have an animation for it and Sylva's posted the audio files for it too.

I'm looking at that Datamine thread from Sylva again and apparently there were mentions of different route choices for Noctis, Ardyn, and Luna(?) from what could be their respective Episodic DLC?
Spoke to Sylva about it (and also had a glance at the Japanese posted), Sylva said it's actually really old dialogue and from cutscene data. Sylva said he thinks there's probably going to be some reuse, because he's also previously said there's stuff for the Royal Vessel, Replica Regalia, Whale in the base game files. He's actually come by the same place too before as a few people were asking him questions about this, he provided audio files from it before Royal Edition released.

At the same time, I think Sylva's just not expecting much. I know ArbyWorks was corrected on the post before because someone else brought it up on Reddit this week, and Sylva mentioned it but I don't know if he's actually posted about it anywhere, but the Ardyn dialogue apparently dates to a point where there's things in the files that mention expanded Insomnia. Sylva said in a PM that he found mentions of the Insomnia Underpass, but there were notes for that pending changes or finalization.

Something along those lines, would have to check my messages, I just remember that he said that he didn't find the Kingsglaive Base mentioned, but the Underpass and some other areas we've only seen recently for sure. Didn't find the dungeons that seem to be cut, he was disappointed about that and a few other things he's wanted.

So, from my understanding of what he said, and what he's posted, these seem to have been integrated at some point to Insomnia.

So with what he's found, I can see why he's not expecting much, or is expecting things to probably be reused in some way. Sylva also mentioned there's another cutscene he hasn't put back together again, but I don't know if he's going to do it or not since it took him ages to upload the last one.

So where these battle animations for Luna and Ravus in the original base game data, or only found from Royal Edition/Windows Edition?

Waiting to hear back about Luna's animations at the moment.

Ravus' downed one is from a newer set, but isn't used at all in Episode Ignis, or with him added as a guest to the person's game apparently.

Some of Ravus' animations from Episode Ignis with a number of his attack animations, some of his basic idles are in the base game files.

I edited my post, but yeah according to the model list it is Deathgaze, and that person just posted another few pics and it looks more familiar as Deathgaze here.



Wow, it even has a colored model, I'm currently thinking, on one hand that Deathgaze, this one to be exact, could be a boss or an enemy fought in Ardyn's episode, but on the other hand, it could just be cut content, but still, it looks cool.

I don't think it has to do with Episode Ardyn, since the index entry for it is "mf08"and which is right inbetween "mf07" which is Deathclaw, and "mf09" which is the Lich family. I think it was just unused.

Yeah, I thought so, I was leaning towards the latter option, it being cut, oh well, but it's still cool to see.

It's not from Episode Ardyn.

Sylva and the Luthus user that posted other stuff last time have both spoken about it in messages. It's not new, it was unused on PS4 too. There's unused animations for it as well.

It's not included in the spawn list in the debug, but Sylva's potentially fixed some stuff. He just hasn't shared stuff for whatever reason, beyond probably preferring to do larger posts?

Either that, or it feels like I'm one of the only people that's asked them about stuff that isn't weapons?

That model look pretty great. Considering there is a decent amount of work that was put into it I wonder if it was cut due to frame rate issues, it seems pretty hefty. Or maybe it was just an issue with aerial combat hence why we don't get to fight the gaylas either. Also interesting that those creatures are named gayla. that enemy hasn't been featured in an FF since VIII.

Considering the design and certain things I've heard about China's issues with skeletons, I'm wondering if Deathgaze was cut because of objections from China. XD;

(I don't think there can be major issues with aerial combat given the existence of the Griffin, those obnoxious hornet enemies, and the smaller avian enemies in Leide. The Gayla model in particular just doesn't really seem to be designed to be seen at combat distances.)

I always forget about the Griffon fights. Then maybe it was just technical stuff like the cloth rendering and frame rate issues.

If this is "mods" made by SE put up on the store I'm fine with that, but if it's mods made by users that they can have them as paid then yeeeeeh I don't know, hopefully it's not that.

Yeah, I dunno.

I know the topic of paid mods, or other content such as lootboxes were discussed in an interview earlier in the year, but weren't exactly confirmed or denied. If it's official ones, that'd be fine but if it went the other way I could see the concern in regards to theft and so-on.

I don't really think it'll be fantastic with the complaints from the console crowd prior about this sort of thing, with them being left out if they are official ones if they don't provide them as DLC to the console crowd. Then, the potential of what you mentioned too.

I'm glad Sylva did at least bring it up because it could go either way, and it seems to be one of those potentially controversial moves for either result.
