Hard mode is sorely needed for this game, I never really understood why they announced invincibility suits before a hardmode, when this game is pretty easy.

It may be easy for you, but for casual players it's quite a hard game. Not everyone has the knack to breeze through games. Like a lot of people say Bloodborne etc is hard, personally it's an impossible game for me.
There are a lot of people who are not action game savvy and the invincibility suits will give those players some peace of mind.
tbh i agree with hey everyone, i barely see someone complaining about how hard the game is (i read a few saying it was challenging but it was more related to optional content, the majoritiy -obviously i say this by anedoctal evidence- leans toward thinking the game is easy.
either way, a hard mode is utterly necessary for more replay value imo

That's because the only people who would find this hard are casual gamers and said casual gamers do not take their time to go on internet boards to voice their concerns.
I don't think they anticipated the game to be as easy for players as is currently. But thats ok, more time for them to look at how to balance it for higher challenge now that they aren't tied on a big deadline post-release.
A combat this addicting for me deserves a juicy hard mode lel.
Oh, Shuuya, do you know what the overall japan impressions are on XV's current difficulty?

that may be true, but that makes the necessity of an hard mode even bigger since they need to cater to non-casuals too (which may be the majority that bought the game).
i never considered the FF series to be too hard anyway, its generally easy.

Seeing as people are filling in the surveys now, most likely a hard mode is gonna be available somewhere down the line, so it's a waiting game at this point.

FF games had moderate difficulty, you couldn't gorge potions when you were at 0HP, or Phoenix Downs.
If they were going to go Kingdom Hearts for this, they should have taken the magic system, the difficulty,

Easy mode, buy a bunch of potions and Phoenix Downs and your good, how would this game be hard, even for casual players unless you want to tell me casual players really really really suck.

Even though i anticipate them likely adding a hard mode down the line, a part of me still kinda thinks that when you're frequently relying on just items as a crutch when getting your ass kicked from plenty of enemies, it may indicate thay you still need git gud.
Mind you i get the complaints of "rarely getting a game over" (in spite of playing a series that was never known for high challenge), but this is something i wanted to also bring up.
I have a personal theory as to why the game might fall into the easy spectrum to some players.
Theory: It has less to do with enemies not dealing enough dmg or their AI not being challenging but more with the game giving Noctis having waay to many tools/get out of jail free cards.
If you use a lot of potions or items when you play, that's on you. It's your choice.
Too much "they should do this my way and how I want it" and not enough "ah so they created the game like this to appeal to a wide range of gamers".
*smh*
Remember: "This is a Final Fantasy for fans and first timers"
Keep in mind it still hasn't been that long since the game was released, and with the survey and upcoming updates, more improvements will be made. It's painful listening to some people talk like things are going to be stuck as they are now. Jesus.
@Jubileus Hey, nobody asked you to be logical. The internet is just a giant wasteland of people flexing their e-pin-yuns like the world revolves around them.
If you want hard, I'd say sell all your curative items, including phoenix downs. Have nothing at all times, never buy potions, sell any that you pick up. The game you thought was easy might just be different now...
