I made this comparison waaaaay back earlier this year when I noticed that the new CG render of Luna looked like Stella from 2013. I called out that they might have changed Luna's design to look more like Stella, but literally everyone ignored me calling me crazy. However, I was right in the end.
The first image on the top left is the comparison with the new Luna render with the 2013 Stella render. If I blur out the line, it would pretty much look symmetrical.

In my own personal opinion as an artist, the pre 2013 Stella looked too ''ideal'' aesthetically (Noctis too). Slim cheeks, small chin, narrow face; it was just too visually perfect, much like out of a manga. 2013 Stella changed to a more round softer visual where she appeared more human. Post 2013, personally Luna looked like she was combined with Stella from 2013 and before. With the round natural features but also combining the features from pre-2013. But visually the nose was too small defined, chin was too long, mouth was undefined, eyes slanted, it had a weird balance.
Personally I think it was a good choice to go back a step. 2013 Stella may look ideal in the sense of appearing cute, but it had the right visual balance.

Honestly if FFXV sells 7.5-10 million in it's lifetime sales, then yah knowing Square Enix it will probably happen, or at least a sequel of some sort, as well as a prequel

Like a Kingslaive being turned into a full game
A Versus XV world being adding into Kingdom Hearts 3 as DLC(I'm assuming that's what he meant)
As well as an entire Versus XV trilogy(I mean Nomura's vision was a trilogy, so why not, I mean it could give them something until they can actually make Final Fantasy XVI, and with the assets already made means we can get games from them in a timely manner as opposed to the WTF we have been getting as of late.

More fleshed out story, granted if Kingslaive does get turned into a game whether it would be a prequel to XV or this proposed Versus XV(which means story changes), being able to play as Nyx, being able to fight classic enemies like FF7's Diamond Weapon, Ultros, and whatever else.
A more Kingdom Hearts like battle system, that is by far the only need I can think of, but then again Square doesn't really operate on need, if it can sell they will probably make it especially if production isn't too expensive, and it could be good not to absolutely sour anyone who bought FFXV thinking it was Versus XIII, then for you to turn around and announce a Versus XV with the same?(Oh I know Noctis, Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto are staying whether or not they include Stella or Luna(Oh god the debates will roar) I really don't know, but knowing Square they will probably try to force a sequel out of FFXV of some sorts, I mean we got XIII-2, and Lightning Returns after all.
