Besides, he worked with them during the major change period in 2013-2014, so the final product is more than likely how he agreed to best preserve his vision. He'll get another chance someday, I know it.
I would like to add that Tabata was ascended to "full directorial" duty somewhere in December 2013.
Source: an interview (that I can't find right now) done to Tabata around UNCOVERED, where he explains that the September 30th, 2016 release date was decided once he was promoted.

Maybe not angry but obviously dissapointed, its was his dream project, and they took it away from him.
That says nothing about his feelings though, conjecture confirms zilch. Its no different than Tabata being painted as a boogyman by the Versus fandom.

Oh man, its not a source. Its 99.9% not gonna happen.
The thing is, he might be, he might not be, but the evidence being thrown around to back it up doesn't pass the sniff test, so any assertion one way or the other is pure conjecture. While I'm sure there's part of him that was somewhat hurt by it, I'm also sure he's a professional and if it was called for to comment positively about the game publicly, he would have. My best guess for why he hasn't commented on FFXV since then is because he's busy with other projects.

Oh, regarding Nomura/Tabata and projects, i'll just leave this friendly reminder here:

http://www.finaland.com/?rub=site&page=news&id=4865

Finaland & FFDream: What will the addition of Hajime Tabata, the great producer of Final Fantasy Type-0 bring to the FFXV team ?

Tetsuya Nomura: The reason why we bringed Tabata-san into the team is because he always said to me that it wanted to join the Final Fantasy XV project. I asked him in the team, his vitality and mentality are always very motivated and very high. In the future campaign and until the game is out, Tabata-san himself will be going to speak in front of you guys more often so please ask him in details when he’s available.
Finaland & FFDream: Nomura-san, you work on a lot of project like Final Fantasy XV, the Kingdom Hearts Saga, The World Ends With You. How do you manage all the projects you have at the same time?

Tetsuya Nomura: Actually I am not very good at managing myself, especially at managing lots of different projects, but because of my staff and all the staffs are very very intelligent, very good and very capable I’m able to run all the different projects at the same time. And also the most important are the Co-Directors in each project, again they are very capable and skilled people, they are the people actually managing the actual everyday job on the ground. That’s why I’m here, they are supporting me all the time.
I think both of them have can trust each other.

Unfortunately i never found them to be any funny at all. Personally speaking.

If he understood the circumstances and they were as reasonable as can be with him being taken off from the project so that Tabata can take lead of the project, then I cannot see how he as an intelligent adult human being could be angry about it.

I just posted this in another thread, but I noticed the passage in question wasn't a direct quotation. If it was, something was lost in the translation.
Here's the actual quotation, for interested parties. Quite the innocuous statement.

Nomura said:
Like with the 15th anniversary of [KH], I'm thinking I'd like to plan something or other. It's just that, since we've been keeping busy with productions, including the game [WOFF] that I showcased today, I don't think I will be able to share any new news until after things calm down.

How exactly does these % work? how can you have 3 games with 90+%?
The explanation is in the link. Posted here for convenience:

METHODOLOGY
Nielsen Game Rank™ represents the overall anticipation level among gamers on each platform, based on a combination of several key measures (including awareness, purchase interest, consumer rating and others). The percent value shown reflects how strong the overall anticipation level is for the title, relative to the pre-release anticipation levels of all previous titles that released on the platform(s). Values shown for multi-platform titles are averages of the values from each release platform. Titles included are those being released between Oct. 1, 2016 - Dec. 31, 2016, that have a Game Rank™ of 75% or higher. Data was collected by surveying 6,000 gamers age 7 to 54 between Aug. 21, 2016 - Sept. 24, 2016.
In my industry, Nielsen is the gold standard. No reason to believe it'd be different here.
