The entire "SqureEnix Presents" team, IMO, is really weak. They come off more like a team of superfans SE lets tag along from time to time. Dan seems like the nicest dude on the planet, but he can't sell a product. Mat also seems like a great guy, but he comes off a bit too corny/excited about things. And I forget that girl's name, but she legit eye-fucked half of the guests at Uncovered, live on camera. And, she may be a rocket scientist for all I know, but she comes off like she is super, super flighty.

Again, I'm sure they are all wonderful people. I could totally spend an afternoon hanging out with them and having a good time talkin FF all day. They just shouldn't be the ones out there representing the company. Gavin is actually a very solid pick, though. He comes off as professional and has style and you want to hear what he has to say. Much, much better presence out there.

Edit: That curly-haired girl in that twitch stream is sneaky-cute, too. Just a side note. I'm not trying to objectify, she just totally caught my eye.

They've communicated the reason for the delay. We all saw it. That 53 minute demo. That was not acceptable to put on all of the discs. Imagine it's 5 years from now and you're stuck at someone's lakehouse with no internet, but there's a PS4, and you want to replay that timeless masterpiece known as FFXV. You pop in your hard copy of FFXV and THAT is what you get. And from what they've said, it gets far worse later on.

So, the delay is there to make that base version actually playable. Continued support/optimization will absolutely lead to a day 1 patch as well. But, instead of the disc just being a key to a digital download, it will also be playable straight of the disc.

Now, to your point, half of the internet will have a meltdown and a bunch of trolls will think they've had their moment when they tell the world there's a day 1 patch, but, half the internet is dumb.
^ going off APZonerunner's Twitter impressions the game is in a much better state than last month. Also heard that the game outright crashed at Gamescom, which is really not acceptable to go gold. There will always be a patch, and yes people will be mad about it but at least what's burned to disc will be much more stable than what they originally planned.

The game didn't crash. A lot of the FFXV haters pray to Bahamut everyday that something bad happens to the game so they can spread it around the net. The stream crashed while showing off the Aranea fight and that's what people were talking about.

You should see this scan. Shiva(s) looks utterly dazzling, and utterly deadly.
It was already posted earlier, and that link doesn't work properly without caching the image first.

That Shiva summons reminds me of that Dementors scene in Prisoner of Azkaban. Also the way I assume the attack will work is that all the Shiva's will form a circle and attack inwards sort of thing. Also Noctis' hand is frozen? What's that all about?

Yes, it was, it's the footage the debug menu stuff comes from that I spent a week working on to translate.

I'd love to say
the Shivas are being reverse Rodolfos to his reverse Mimi in a reversed performance of "Your Tiny Hand is Frozen"

Are either of these people anyone worth talking about, or are they two random people?

Edit: I mean this as an honest question. I don't know who is who out there.
Just randoms that played the game. We don't know how current the builds for these games are anyway I'd say. I didn't even know this event even existed, I can't imagine they can push out newer builds each and every time they go to something new. That being said, issues are bound still exist given that they've had to delay it already. We still have an entire month left to go though, so I'm not too concerned. Unresponsive controls I have a hard time believing though, I'm just wondering what exactly that means. I hear people say it, but never go into detail as to what they mean.

Not trying to say people are lying, just not sure what they're referring to.

>game crashed

Thats one thing yes, but:

>Unresponsive controls

I haven't heard this from many others impressionists who played their share, all i read most of the time was how responsive the combat was compared to ED/PD unless i'm being daft?

Case in point, there was another tweet during Gamescom from a dude who played the old build saying how much the combat was unresponsive, despite majority of previews painting the opposite picture. And that was with a build that had so many visuals/performance issues to top it off.

EDIT: How is the last tweet link a negative impression outside of the build crashing? The guy even said he was enjoying what he played prior.
