I like how they start ducking like "But our other staff member Liam said there were also framerate issues at TGS" when Liam clearly didn't mention it in his video. He was talking about visual glitches.
Really what them point to reviewing the Gamescom build? Like they didn't even follow the game, cause game changes like every week.
Guess i know yet another site i for sure will ignore from now on! :cactuar:

Another over positive preview but one thing i noticed

One of the only issues I ran into was warp attacks. When the prompt appeared I didn’t always make contact with the enemy. Instead I would simply warp elsewhere in the general area. When done from a perch however, the warp attack would always connect. It was only the ground-based warp attack that occasionally failed me, even when I was sure I was locked on.
Not trying to nitpick but has this ever happened in other preview impressions?

No, I know, I'm just making it clear. I'm sure I would complain if I actually knew what you all were on about and had reason to.

Yes.

I think you would, too.

I haven't heard anyone mention it, but if it's what it sounds like, but I, myself have done it accidentally in the demos. It's from tapping instead of holding, so you just warp a few feet straight in front of you instead of to a target. I don't know that writer's level of expertise, but given only 45 minutes to test things, I could see someone new to it not catching onto that right away.

Or, they're talking about something totally different and I'm just insulting that dude/dudette's intelligence. I don't believe I've heard that complained about either way at any stage, though.

You're right about that though, to warp towards a point you have to hold it, it's not really clear from the button prompt. In Dualshockers gameplay you had the objective of warping into the windmill, but it wasn't indicated to hold the warp button and he just pressed it and warped forward into the enemies.

The hold button is this icon in FFXV:

I think back in the January Niflheim base gameplay there was "HOLD" written next to it, which was more clear.

Maybe this indicates they allowed point-warp to work even with lock-on? Cause i know for sure PD never allowed that when locking on an enemy was enabled.

Of course i could be talking out of my ass.

from the dualshockers preview:

"While in the car you can choose from highlighted tracks throughout Final Fantasy‘s history, ranging from: Final Fantasy I, VII, X, XI and its expansions,XII, XIII, XIV, and Lucian Cruisin. The latter of which I assume plays music from Final Fantasy XV‘s score."

all in my veins.

"Something I would have enjoyed is an in-game radio host that gives updates on current events. This is mainly because I enjoy that form of world-building no matter how repetitive or ham-fisted it can get."

that's actually a pretty neat idea, the playstation acess video preview mentioned something like that in the game.

@Slaintimez
well considering in the most recent trailer we see him have all the phantom weapons pre timeskip (when he goes to fight Ravus) and that the Ravus scene is when Gladio gets his new scars (which we see in a train) I assume that it happens within the first half of the game. Meaning we should get all the phantom weapons while we are maybe 15-20 hours in?

That countdown timer is depressing, lol.

Anyway,

I think it's best to not assume that the timeskip as the marker for the halfway point of the game. It looks like the bulk of the game is with young Noctis and the timeskip is something that happens near the end. The old rumors about him being put to sleep for 10 years or whatever are looking likely.
