In that case it would help if we did know who actually did the e3 2013 trailer, but most signs still seem to point to Nomura direction-wise.

My best guess would be an external department with guidelines from Nomura at the very least.

The ATR is in a few days, we should get cleaner footage of some of the things from E3, that might help with analyzing a few of the features seen like magic synthesis and perhaps new footage all together, but who knows.

There's actually quite a bit of new footage in this. Starts around 32:45ish and goes on for a while. Showing off different preorder/delux bonuses. Some decent little snippets of combat, a lot of driving around. Game's looking good, too. Hopefully that's PS4ish footage at least. If this is what the game ultimately looks like, I'll be pretty damn happy.

Edit: Still holding out hope that they'll refer to her as Cidney and not Cindy (as I've mentioned in another thread, I suspect the recorded dialog we've heard is all placeholder so far, so it's still possible) and the Cidney paintjob affirms those hopes.

That dagger gameplay looked fantastic. Lots of mobility and speed/

The spear team-attacks with Ignis were spectaculor,. Especially the twin-spear dragoon jump from Noctis. That's just crazy.

Did the framerate seem improved, to anyone else? I don't normally have issues with that stuff, but this looked a little smoother.

That top gif with the dagger, looks fluid as hell but i can't tell if the magitek troops getting hit are receiving any knockback or not.

And that's probabyl by design. The weapons are different. Daggers are fast and responsive, but presumably little knockback as you might expect. Greatswords are slow and lumbering, but they'll hit a lot harder and knock em back. Looks like the spears do some AE damage when you dot he jump move, etc.
