This is shown in the menus for selecting a weapon. As we know, FFXV's weapons have a RANK which determines how powerful a weapon is. You are more likely to keep weapons in this game due to their functionality. Weapons in this game can also grow as well with abilities.

This section here is showing the categories that you can scroll through to equip a weapon.
Sword, Greatsword, Lance, Knives, Gun, Shield, ????, Sub-weapon, Magic(?)

I wonder what the weird cog like thing is supposed to be.
It's sword, greatsword, spear, knives, guns, shields, machines, royal arms and magic. Shuriken falls under royal arms. Getting machines and royal arms from the Game Informer interviews on the subject.

So with the inclusion of a sprint meter, do you guys think they might remove Sprint Burst? Or do you think they might have a sort of indicator in the meter of when sprint burst is usable?
The sprint functions stupid why not just allow unlimited running, I mean this isnt dark souls

Thanks! I didn't know it was classified as royal arms either, I will change those.
Absolutely any time! You have a great eye for UI and other small details which are important to weirdos like myself. It's comforting to see that weapon ranks are still in the game, too!
Because this game is grounded in reality and so stamina is a thing.
Oh this point though, I agree with others. A stamina bar is really silly. Noctis can throw Titan, a being with the strength to hold up a mountain, back on his ass but he can't run uninterrupted for a minute? Most fit people can do that even in real life, and Noctis is already performing superhuman feats that aren't at all based in reality. Stamina on running is just an inconvenience.

I understand your point, and really do feel like sprinting should be unlimited however with the inclusion of something like Sprint Burst I can see it becoming a resource thing where its like "sure you can run forever, but make sure your mp doesnt run out" adding another layer of difficulty (sort of for no reason) when running into, or out of combat situations. Also considering we have a lot of choices for transportation, like Chocobos and driving off road (basically just 2) I don't see the need for having sprinting unlimited. I'll just call up a chocobo for anything that would require me to sprint burst more than 2 times cause its just faster that way.

Sorry if the above reply isn't coherent, but I just suck at forming sentences.

I pretty much agree with you. It bothers me that sprinting isn't unlimited given the other superhuman feats Noctis can perform, but even his sprinting is a crappy way to get around that will hopefully be alleviated by chocobos and the Regalia itself. It's not a huge inconvenience, it's just something that bothers me because I don't think the reasoning for it is very sound. I'll definitely be picking up a chocobo as soon as humanly possible though. Getting around Duscae without one was painful.

Haha, I wasn't really defending the idea just really more explaining their perspective. For me, I don't mind it so much as I'm used to it in many games, but you're right that it's a big ridiculous that you can go toe to toe with the Gods of this world but run out of breath in a matter of seconds doing a light sprint.

Stamina can be a thing. It just doesn't have to have that slowdown at the end.

Do it like it is in FFXIV. It's like a 30 second cooldown, but you sprint for about 20 seconds. No downside. Use it whenever you want. Best of both worlds. You can't run forever like the bionic Venom Snake but you don't get penalized for wanting to move it along a little bit. It's a fantasy based on reality and all, but there's room to make this part not suck.

You can never credit him, he never makes anything and always deletes his tweets (check the link you posted lol). Someone else most definitely made this and he deleted the Tweet most likely for not giving them credit. Either that or... well, he just loves deleting shit...

It's all part of the idea of making everything as realistic as possible.... whether or not it's going to make sense in the context of the world or gameplay. I can see this as one of many annoyances that could help enhance the experience or ruin it.

I'm just worried that, due to how they keep emphasizing the road trip aspect of the gameplay, that it means the story might get tedious. I'm not saying it would, but it does make me think that it'll go like "Drive to location 1 -> defeat Imperials/ deal with town issues -> drive to location 2 and rinse and repeat. Now I'm not saying that immediately makes it bad, I'm just pointing out that it could be tedious. I'm hoping it's not, though.

What you just described is every RPG ever. Just replace "drive" with "walk".

This game is going to be good enough without comparing it to Jesus. I know it's been 10 years, but that's the wait, not the actual development time. It's looking great, don't get me wrong, but you can't expect it to redefine every aspect of an RPG. That's what FFXIII tried to do and that's what happens when you try to jump too far ahead.

I just hope that the travelling and exploring feels organic, and even if it doesn't, I hope that the character interactions feel organic. I just finished UC4 and I loved every single character in that game, their interactions outside of cutscenes made them feel like actual people who have a relationship with Nathan. I hope FFXV has some of that magic in its writing and VA.

Some significant spoilers have popped up on 4chan and are spreading to other game forums, so tread with caution. Of course, we don't know the credibility of the source, but from what I've read, the plot points are within possibility.
