To be honest, I don't know if I really want a FF VI remake, as excited as I am about VIIR. Or at least not now, I want them to focus on XVI (I mean, they have a lot of people and, as Koozek said, they could outsource, but still).
We've been 10 (
TEN) years without a new mainline entry announced (announced! Not even talking about them releasing the game!). Obviously referring to SP ones and not counting XIV (I'd love to get into it, but MMORPGs just aren't for me, I guess).
The amount of excitement before and after a new SP mainline FF announcement can't be topped. I really miss it.
It's the first FF game with a proper story with characters, I really enjoyed it when I first played it on GBA in the Dawn of Souls.
Yep, that's precisely why I don't know why I haven't played the game before: a classic story, with a classic villain is something I really enjoy even today. There's something heartwarming about those kinds of stories (big reason why I love the DQ series as well).
I have already downloaded it, so let's see when I can play for a good while. I'm very interested in this (more than I would be with, say, III) because of the story and how divisive people are regarding this.
