I think the fact that they can't talk about Stella means that she still exists, and is probably related to the surprise in the demo itself. But that's just my guess.

If anyone recalls the camp menu, Noctis and co gain an exact similar amount of experience points. Doesn't seems that there are any penalties which we can see. Perhaps the accumulated exp applies to an active party member?
You guys are just making excuses.
Stella was shown multiple times when it was still versus 13 and it didn't really spoil much. The plot is supposed to be unchanged, so I don't see how her very existence could be such a tremendous spoiler that they can't even confirm if she's still in the game.
They probably want to reveal her in some trailer in the future as a "surprise" for fans and that's why they can't talk about her now.
I wonder who decided to keep the plot of XV hidden from the public. Nomura or Tabata. I find myself doubting the latter because Type-0 spoiled many parts of the late game in trailers very close to its PSP release in Japan.
No? A spoiler is when someone reveals plot information that is supposed to be a plot twist.
Many people here seem to believe that the reason we haven't seen Stella in FFXV trailers is that she's such a huge spoiler that they can't even show her or confirm whether she's still in or not. And I just don't think this is the case.
Or maybe I just don't understand what a spoiler is

It's not hidden. I could say it's still early to reveal it. Usually, the plot is revealed after announcing the release date. Maybe if the game jumps to 80% completion, Tabata might make an exception. Also, since this is a numbered FF game, they're trying to be cautious on what infos they will reveal. I think Tabata knows our concern that we haven't got any news on FFXV before 2013. That's why he gave us plenty of infos to keep us hyped for the game, but not to the point of revealing main parts of the game, like the plot. I'm curious as well, but I can still wait for it, 'cause we know it's coming. And my patience is not running out just yet.
You can't really spoil a demo, the only parts we don't know are the ones that are most interesting.
The summon, the boss in the dungeon, what other enemies are in the areas around the dungeon, the Phantom Sword information, stuff about Noct's red eyes. Lots of stuff we don't know about, we've only seen the general area and how the game controls, not much of a spoiler...
