"But because of the way development works, now we’ve seen a solid milestone, and using that it means the end is in sight in some ways. After that’s released and we continue on with development there may be times where we move on with massive leaps and bounds, so the overall number shoots up by 10 percent at a time. I think we’re looking at a much faster development in the near future."

That's the real reason I posted them, I guess it's just kind of surreal to hear it might actually finish soon, that development might move "much faster" in "the near future". And with 60% done a 10% spike in development is a lot. Just fanboying a bit :p

All in due time, haha. This would be one of those times when I'm glad that I only got into FF in 2010. I was too busy dealing with a backlog to be anxious over Versus XIII.

I wonder if we'll be able to switch subtitles/audio on the fly in the demo.
I kind of doubt it. Then again, it might not be difficult to implement that feature. Didn't Lightning Returns reset its checkpoints when switching to different audio?

It's diffcult because of the lip sync in the cutscenes. They'd have to give us both versions to download to make it possible but even then it seems difficult to implement an on the fly switch.

Yeah haha I hoped on around 2011 right around the "blackout" for Versus, so it was almost like an urban legend/vaporware game then 2013 rolls around with the XV trailer and it just kicked off my imagination from there so this news, while not maybe as big for me as someone from the 2006 trailer, is ALOT for me to take in lol

And I'm reminded why I don't visit IGN anymore. No offense to the community there. Just not my cup of tea.

That aside, I don't feel the interviews offer much that we don't know already, but I guess it's nice to reaffirm the vision and direction for this game.
These people throw lots of technical terms but they are just a regular people. Still, it's sad they don't admit their incompetence.

Honestly, that's why I don't visit other gaming websites. If I want to discuss something, I'll join an appropriate forum for it, like this. I rarely care to discuss something with others outside of a few friends, but when I want to, I'd rather join a group of people that I know care about what they're talking about.

That's why I like this place, we can all discuss what we like or don't like, but at least we know we're being honest with each other, and not making up excuses to look down on something like graphics of an in development game and complain about aliasing when there's a GIANT TURTLE IN THE BACKGROUND THAT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO FIGHT IN REAL TIME.

Okay, the warp thing is good at least.

I do drive, but I hate it and would rather live somewhere where it isn't necessary (so I do). Hopefully driving in the cities won't be so realistic that you never make progress in the game because of road traffic.
Haha, fair enough.

Exactly, I mean isn't that why we're all here instead of YouTube or whatever? Because we're all fans? I really have loved coming on here ever since I joined last weekend and haven't regretted it, it's nice to discuss XV with others who love it just as much as I do about all sorts of stuff. :)

Yeah, same here. I've also given up bothering with uninformed people.

Haha, fair enough.
It's really surprising they noticed tiny jaggies while failing to see a real moving huge monster which could be another technical achievement.

many internet comments are kinda hard to understand IMO.

- complaints about designs that we known since 2011 like it was a big deal now.
- "game is different", visually the battle system is really similar apart for controlling other party members, and we've never been truly sure of the mechanics behind Versus XIII. Even Nomura said they considered having only Noctis playable, he had many ideas for the game like first person view and other things.
- "game is easy because you can hold a button", lol.

ppl just focus too much on these things.

Was rewatching the 40 min gameplay vid. At the part Noctis fights the goblins.

Man, poison sucks!! Seriously drains Noctis' health...and just keeps going.
I like to see status effects be useful/deadly. So this was a big plus for me.

Yep. Most of the time they scale with max HP, which I hope to see in this game.

Do you think status ailments are probability-based here, or will they work similarly to XIII where they'll land after a certain number of uses?
