Kagari's got quite a decent record to the best of my knowledge. She's not always right, but her sources have yet to tell her (at least from what she's openly disclosed to people) anything staggeringly erroneous. There are good grounds to assume that what she says has credible merit.
Another Matsuno situation would honestly suck if that's truly the case. While folks like Toriyama and YoshiP have managed to stay cool, functional and presumably in very good terms with the business face of the company, the latest Final Fantasy games just seem to almost be death knells for high profile directors and producers within Square-Enix. Yeah, I'm thinking of whatshisname, Tanaka as well.
Best of luck to whoever's in charge of FFXVI. It could go surprisingly well - which would be the first time since FFX or XI, or it could be a soul destroying bloodbath.
