I have no idea what happened or what the lesson was there. Something about a dessert. I don't think I'll ever totally connect with ignis anyway.
I don't think anything in the anime is meant to be a "lesson". But since you're having trouble staying awake, I'll help.

I watched all the way through Ignis' episode, and the dessert was just a frame. The episode entire shows how Noctis is initially your stereotypical carefree and untidy teen (a most unfair stereotype in my opinion), and must confront an ugly reality when he realizes that Regis is dying and he will bear the unenviable burden of being the next king. Regis knows this, and asks Ignis to care for Noctis, as Noctis is a lot more vulnerable than he appears on the surface. Consequently, Ignis tries to tell Noctis about his future responsibility, and they end up in a one-sided quarrel with Noctis lashing out in anger. Cooking (particularly Noctis' inability to cook eggs in a frying pan without nearly ruining the pan) is just a way they eventually reconnect after the quarrel. The dessert ultimately acts as a way Ignis is still trying to please Noctis by recreating a happy childhood memory from his time in Tenebrae with Lunafreya.

It's a very moving episode for me, just behind Sword and Shield.

There's something I've become a little bit worried about since reading this description. I've never seen adult Luna in released footage beyond the Altissla scene, and.... Well, the description, and the momentary scene in the TGS trailer of Ardyn confronting and striking Luna.... I'm terrified that it'll end badly.

Reminded of Taro Yoko's original plans for Furiae, where she would die almost immediately after Caim and Inuart catch up to her. Mind you, she's a subversion and critique of the atypical helpless RPG heroine, while Lunafreya seems to be an attempt to use that appearance while creating a character that might otherwise be depicted as a tomboy or inhuman character.

I doubt they would kill her by stabbing OFFSCREEN. Very important character to do it.

SE have been super secretive about Luna so if they do have an older model of her, they're not going to reveal it. I actually think SE wants us to believe Luna is going to die halfway through the game and then BAM, they're going to surprise us all! Amy Shiels mentioned they had a lot of action sequences towards the end so that's the "hope" I'm holding onto lol

I don't think they mean killing someone off-screen as in we don't see it happen at all. I think the description means that we see the stabbing happen, but not the actual knife going in. And if it's Luna who's in trouble, I'm going to believe she survives the stabbing because the description mentions a bloodstained wound in another scene.... Maybe this is what leakers were talking about and just assumed Luna will die halfway through the game?

I really wonder why Luna went back to Tenebrae after Kingsglaive events, and not just to Altissia. Maybe she really needs Gentiana help\advice?
But anyway its makes no sence, since Niflheim take full control over Tenebrae and they're searching for her. I hope its not just big plothole and they will explain.
Maybe she went back to fetch trident, her dogs and a change of clothes lol... Yeah it does seem a bit strange. Regis specifically told her head to Altissia and when you're carrying a powerful ring that the empire is after, you'd want to deliver it to Noctis asap. Maybe she's being all stealthy about sneaking back home, because when you think about it, Tenebrae is the last place the empire would expect to find her...

No wonder Noctis can't find Luna - she's all over the place lol

People are forgetting that even though the empire has a hold over Tenebrae, they don't actually have full reign over it and are allowed to govern themselves. Considering how important Gentiana is, it makes sense for her to go there to console with her about the events that have taken place. People underestimate just how important Gentiana is. I actually believe her to be more important than Luna.

Probably, since Ravus is not there she can back freely to Tenebrae, i doubt just random soldiers would stop her, they won't even ask something.

I bet the game ending will be: Noctis will be old shit, the last crystal is shatter and he will die before he see last time he's son or daughter, i guess the child will live with luna.

That interface looking fire; this Lucis regal style looks so fucking beautiful, loving the heraldry. It was missing some portraits before and, even if I prefer hand-drawn ones, these, the E3 2013 ones, are very aesthetic (Noctis actually looks good there, unlike the latest CG render) and fit the game better.

I guess that that means that we're getting old Gladio, Ignis and Prompto CG renders, too. Wonder if guest characters could be featured in the menu in some ways. I guess it depends on how long they're going to join us.

Very excited about the skill menu. I don't know if it'll be expanded, though, but considering the amount of things you can do in combat already at level 1 and the amount of weapons and items there are, it should be more than enough.
