I am quite enjoying some of these outfits. Also, that Dead Dunes bone-encrusted variant of the little bat imps is kinda scary looking. I'm very pleased with some of the enemy types we've seen, and the Sand Sahagin actually flopping around like a fish out of water is an interesting stagger concept. My only gripe about these videos is that they do not show off the stats/passive abilities attached to each one. I think they'd be truly complete little videos if they had included that. Weapon, monster, battle style, look, spells/skills, and area reveals are pretty awesome though.

Also, what is this trailer we're hearing about, some exclusive content being released by Square Portal, supposedly? If it's anything like SQPR has done before, this "new" trailer will be a mash-up of trailers with...err...bad music (sorry) playing. SQPR also said that this collaboration trailer or whatever they're doing shows exclusive Wildlands demo footage (been there, seen that) during the "developer tour."
In other words, should I be excited or not? I'll be honest, I can never know with SQPR.

No, I don't think there's much of a reason for you to be excited. The FFWorld preview article may indeed provide new information, but if my understanding is correct the European press event he's talking about should be the same thing Alex Donaldson started a Lightning Returns Q&A thread for earlier. At the very least, the demo FFWorld has access to will be the same thing, and probably the same demo build used at TGS.

As for the "trailer", that's pretty much the case as well. It will almost certainly be previously seen content mixed into a video with whatever music the creator decides they feel fitting. As is usually the case, the video should probably be called a fan-made recap or GMV. I mean, we'll see if it's something surprising and new but everything I'm looking at points in every direction except that.

I (cutscene designer, Miyake Hidekazu) introduce you to FOUR of my carefully selected, FAVORITE SCENES!! (I believe these are not in any particular order.)
A. This beautiful scene is a mix between a graceful ballet and a dance of swords.
B. We created this event to be a nostalgic reminiscent of a “certain” scene from FFXIII, and we hope it will excite the fans!
C. This scene is a tear-jerker! The love of family can be felt so strong.
D. We emphasized the sense of utter fear in this scene by adding eerie sounds and effects. We have many more amazing scenes near the last half of the game too, so please enjoy them as you play!

Something tells me that "B" scene is Lightning and Hope, you can almost certainly tell by the hair color and way its parted. Which, if Lightning looks that upset, can't be good. The room they're in is also dark, so we know it can't be the Ark. Either that or something happened to it.
I need answers.

I can make a thread now, and we both can use it to share different stuff. It would be nice to compare our Schema's and Costume Designs, as well as translations during game?

The owner of Square Portal does not speak English as his first language. He is Finnish, but for some reason the site is in English.

Hmm. My understanding was that she actually finished her voice work months and months ago, and she seemed excited for it previously. Strange, I wonder what's up.


EDIT: Ahhhh, it's a joke. It looks like she was having a war of Boring Game Titles with some of her followers. She also posted Slack Man (Probably Pac Man) and Gears of Snore (Gears of War). She clarifies a little later by saying she's super jealous Lightning Returns comes out in 6 days in Japan.

That's...actually the name of the fourth FFXIII game.

Lightning gets called to go join the other FF protagonists once again in a new Dissidia mobile game, and is called back to her world/universe to find nothing. Everything's dead and extinct, because she's killed every species of endangered wildlife, everyone else has probably gone to another world or something, and there's not a single God left worth fighting against.

It'll be the Dear Esther of Lightning games.

I'm pretty much dying in anticipation for this. I'm gonna let the album sink in without any spoilers before the game hits in February, enabling the game to have full impact when I play it, and then enjoy the depth of the songs indefinitely into the future. I love all three of these composers, can't wait to see what they do next.

Then i think you need to skip LR... i also didn't hyped for this game because of the story its too predictable we literally know the ending of this trilogy...and the OST is terrible FF13 have way better ost.
