If going by this way, then again, not Ravus, but Noctis nature will be changed. Even in the 'if' version we see, that Noct decide to do thing on his own shoulders with help of his 'brothers'. And not only this..Everything else will look more awkward. Who the hell Noctis to decide deserve Ravus the ring or not..Noctis is nothing but a puppet in god's hand and HE clearly knows and accept this. Dont you see, that by going this far, they will ruin everything about what was game and it will definitely piss of a lot of fans of canon\origin scenario.
Why do they need something like that explaining, if we already know that after Ardyn's fallen, those two families appeared to share and continue to do duties, which were granted to Ardyn before his fallen.
What we got in Ch.2 of episode Ignis, is just what could happen, if he decided to make another choice and that 'if' ending was just a fairy tail, nothing more, nothing less. The only value thing which we got and can accept as a canon, some pieces of Ardyn's background. That's it.
