Regarding "A world of the Versus Epic", wasn't the whole point of all the changes to XV's story and characters to make it a single self-contained game? I don't know what to believe anymore... :(
He said that SE wants the game to be self contained, they never rejected the possibilty of expanded material. You can still be a self contained product and still have expanded material, like FFVII spin offs and FFX sequel.

Not the ATR but their handling of the whole situation. You said that the fanbase is just unpleasable so SE couldn't do anything to prevent this. And it's not true.

And that part of my comment wasn't directed strictly at you, it was more general. This game's marketing has been horrible since the versus days and some fans always want to make excuses for SE's poor decisions. And I'm just tired of it.

You can still have a complete story and have other stories stemming from it. ex. Chrono Trigger, FF7, Lunar, Ivalice Alliance. So, I wouldn't be too worried about "The World( KEYWORD) of the versus Epic". It'll be complete, but at the same time be expanded, maybe even like FF4 with the descendants of these characters, or perhaps a new set of characters set in the World Either before of after the Main games events. I honestly and humbly welcome extra games in the Versus World.

Interview to Hajime Tabata at Gamescom by Nova Crystallis.
http://www.novacrystallis.com/2015/08/gc-2015-final-fantasy-xv-interview-with-hajime-tabata/
To anyone worried, Noctis suit from 2011 trailer is still in the game XP.
Very interesting stuff, it seems like with each new interview we get a cleaner look at the game and it's change from Versus.
Now just to wait to see if others back up those claims of XV being bigger scaled and Luna being stronger than Stella and having a more active role (that one was on a different interview I believe.)
I also think that famitsu article (from a rough translation I found) talks about how the mythology in Versus XIII played a larger role than it does in XV. Which is telling too.
Also Luna's full name Lunafreya.
They say Freya is title given to people of importance in the imperial province of Tenebrae. What that importance is... I have no idea.

I guess it comes down to playing the game and having the ultimatnia or Nomura to back up the story of those Versus claims.

Some fan translation of the Famitsu article

Interesting bits:
*“Tech-demo” for users isn’t for playing the game. It’s not gonna be “game.” It will be provided to see how attractive the world of FFXV is. You may let it rain, you may move monsters by yourself. It’s safe to say that it’s like a tool for debugging. You can see the FFXV world as the developers do.

*We’re trying our best not to cause any negative influence on the final game by preparing “tech-demo.” It’s definitely a hard work. What we decide today will be possible in several months. We can’t just magically create it. No worries, though. Our schedule is well managed.
This sounds really weird, a bit stupid tbh. I wonder if it's maybe mistranslation.
*Every single character has his/her own childhood episode. With that being said, the story starts at 15 years later. We think users can relate to them easily by knowing the episodes.
*Noct and Luna has been knowing each other from their childhood.
*The talk of marriage came up right before Lucis and Niflheim decided to call the armistice.
*Although it was the marriage of convenience as a symbol of peace, it was also a symbol of happiness.
*Actually, the presence of Luna is more important than that of Noct. Every princess born as the Freya of the imperial province of Tenebrae has a special role. Luna is no exception. Their marriage has some meanings.
Nice to see some story info emerging.

That user clarify that english is not his strong point, so weird translation/mistranslations are spected

The bolded one i think was already mentioned before, i could be wrong though, the rest is new. I´m more hyped for Luna now than i already was:woot:

There so much in these interviews an such, catching up now.

Why isn't anyone mentioning a playable cast? Or is there anything about that I missed.

I see mentions of airships, clothes, classic jobs, but nothing about the cast. Is there any hope of it being DLC or should I forget the idea completely by now?

I was just at Gamescom and I heard more new info about the story, which I think it wasn't already said.
There are several meteorites that crashed on the planet and I think he said Niflheim is the one, who absorbs the energy of them.
Than I instandly thought it would be like in FF VII. O_O
Shinra absorbed the Mako-energy for their needs, but instead the planet was going to die.
So I think these meteorites in FF XV are like the one in the Demo of Duscae, where Titan ''sleeps'' there.
And Niflheim steals this energy to gain special power for most possibly the war and the meteorite/Titan dies.
Perhaps that's the reason why there was an earthquake in that location and Noctis and his friends are going to the Titan to search the reason behind this, but Titan is in rage and attacks them, so they have to absorb him to destroy Niflheim.

The other info is an artwork, which I forgot to take a photo -,-
This one wasn't shown either if I'm not wrong.
The artwork looked like the Grand Canyon in the USA, which looked really beautiful, but in the distance you could see some big rocks that floated over the canyons and one of this pillar rocks like in the Duscae region.
All in all it was a mix between reality and fantasy. It looked really cool and real.

There was also one artwork of Cindy and behind her was I think a factory or a workshop, but I think there was also a plane and an aircraft hangar.
Also one about Lestallum.

Damn, now where I think about these artworks, I regret that I didn't took photos xD
BTW the one artwork with aerial fight next to a skyscaper this thing was a monster with red, yellow wings and a beak.
Hope this is also in the final game :D

Yes I'm pretty sure, that someone absorbs or steals these meteorites energy/power.
But who or how, I don't know.
And this artwork, yes it was this^^

EDIT:
Oh I want this artwork to set a wallpaper :p
