(FF15を楽しむ人がいる一方、バグで騒いでる人も多かったが)
田畑「バグに関しては全力でデバッグをかけたが、当時はこれが限界だった。製品版の発売延期を決断した理由の大部分もデバッグが占めている。今の技術だとバグの完全な解消は難しい。」
(On one side, there were people who enjoyed playing FFXV, while on the other there were many complaining about bugs)
Tabata - In regards to bugs, we poured in all our efforts in debugging, however at the time that was our limit. Debugging was also the top priority that determined the delay in the release date. With todays technology, it is difficult to completely eradicate bugs.
(発売前のネタバレも話題になったが、配信規制は考えてなかった?)
「規制するつもりはなかった。特に北米ではゲームの配信をみんなで楽しむのが大きな文化となっている。意図せずネタバレを見るリスクもわかっていたが、今回は規制しない方向で進めた」
(Before release, the leaks of spoilers were everywhere, did you not think of putting any release regulations?)
We had no intentions on implementing regulations. As specially in the west, there is a big culture where everyone together enjoys the release of games (I assume he's talking about YT and streaming). We knew there would have been a risk with spoiler risks, but this time we decided to proceed without any regulations.
(メインストーリー後半の意見について)
「各チャプターを単独で見た限り悪いものではないと感じているが、前半と後半のコントラストの差が出てしまい、ゲーム体験が低下しているように感じてしまったと思う。
発売された今、改めてプレイしても、そこまで極端に悪い作りにはなっていないと思うし、開発のベストは尽くせたと断言できる。
これから先は向上できる部分は手を加えていく。より幅をもたせたり、より快適にしたり、より楽しさを引き上げたり。」
(In regards to the response to the latter half of the main story)
If you look at each chapter as independently, I feel that it is not that bad, however there arises a difference in contrast between the first and second half of the game, of which I think lowered ones' experience of the game. Even now after release, playing over another time, I feel that the quality is not as bad as it seems and I can affirm that the development pushed their best for the game.
From now on into the future, we will continue to fix and improve any parts that can be improved. Adding more freedom, adding more comfort, adding more enjoyment and so on.
(今後のキャラDLCやオンライン関連について今言えることは?)
「キャラDLCは、これからも広がりを見せていくというところを少しずつでも知っていってもらうための内容になる。
また、DLCで登場した敵が本編の期間限定モブハントに出てきたり、イリスやアラネアといったサブキャラクターともっと旅をしたいという声も届いているので、そういったアプローチも模索したい。」
(Is there anything that you can say about the character DLC and online expansion?)
The character DLC, we want to show and let the players know even just little that the game will expand more and more with the content in the DLC.
Also, enemies that appear in the DLC will appear in the main game as limited time mob hunts and we have received many requests that players want to travel more with characters like Iris and Aranea, so we want to take that approach as well.
(オンライン拡張パックについて)
「基本はマルチプレイだが、ノクティス、イグニス、グラディオ、プロンプト以外のキャラ追加を検討している。
アバターも搭載予定で、こちらはマルチプレイ専用ではなくゲーム本編にも登場させられるようにすることを検討している。
おそらく本編では仲間キャラになりすまし、見た目が変わるだけになる。」
(In regards to the online expansion pack)
The foundation is mutliplayer, however, we are also looking into adding other characters besides the chocobros as well. We have plans to implement avatars and we have plans to include avatars not exclusive to the multiplay experience, but also somehow adding them into the main game as well. Probably, avatars will replace a chocobro, with just their appearance changing.
「DLCの物語に関しては、本編で描かれなかった部分を描くだけではなく、プレイヤーの遊び方によって結果が変わっていくようなものも予定している。
あくまで本編の物語を変えるものではなく、DLCであればこういう方向でも楽しめる、というような幅を持たせたい。」
(In regards to the story of the DLC contents, it will not just show and illustrate events not showed in the main game, they are also planning on implementing player made choices which will affect the events as a result from the players play style. Though it will not change the story of the main game, it will be within the DLC itself and they want to allow players this kind of enjoyable freedom.)
(VRコンテンツについて)
「もちろん出す予定はあるが、やりたいことは色々ある。
時期は明言できないが期待して待ってほしい。」
(In regards to VR content)
Of course we have plans to release it, however we have many things that we want to do. I cannot assure a release date, however I will say please look forward to it.
