I'm suddenly regretting getting that Oculus instead of the Pro.

Not really. The Oculus is pretty awesome. But, now I want this shiny toy instead.

Seriously, though, I didn't think there was a chance in hell they could pull off 60FPS. If they can really pull it off (and at this point, with the technical feats they've performed, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt) that might just go ahead and get me to waste $400. Well, not waste, I'll find a way to convince myself I needed it anyway.

I mean, it's a bit weird that's Japan only and easy-mode, but hey, it's not like it's hard to get a Japanese account and, also, I just really want to see how the game looks and performs in my actual TV screen. Tired of watching it on my phone/PC (especially as the source of the videos is mostly Youtube).

Also, it's not even a choice for me, as I've seen Chapter 1 a hundred times already and I doubt I'll be playing during most of December (and that's if I'm able to stick to my studying schedules, which I most likely won't...), so I'm very excited to at least know how the game feels.

Oh, and the whole Pro thing sounds very good. I mean, I'll never buy a console I already have even if it's a better version of it, but 60 fps in this game (if they manage to get it done) is, well, pretty fucking good.

Strange questions but:

1. Why is Noctis wearing a leg brace?

2. Why are the streetlights on?

3. Are the lights in the Palace on?

It doesn't seem to be a leg brace: if you look at it, it's just a kneepad and not the whole thing that Regis has. Noctis also has the shoulderpad, all of them reverted, mirroring his father's image. POTTERY.

What type of delivery option did you pick?

I pre ordered the game from Amazon U.S. and I live in Australia (Deluxe Edition was sold out so I had no other option)

Would be nice if they're on time.. or earlier if possible.

Expedited and I was 'guaranteed' release date delivery.

I'm trying to cancel now and just go pick one up after work at my local store which is a bit more pricey....

Interesting to see Ifrit placed alongside Shiva, Titan, Leviathan, Ramuh and Carbuncle. I do hope he'll be a late-game summon.

Yup the ifrit fight is nearly the end of the game so i assume we will be summoning him by the end of the game. Dunno whats the point tho... Why putting a summon you can just use for 3-4 battles? :/
I also ask myself: we saw the summons are pretty huge, iffy is small. WHY? haha

Maybe it has multiple forms (a humanoid form and a beast form)?

NG+ is actually a time loop, you get Ifrit at the "end" but he is actually your first summon in NG+. A time loop or someone messing with outcomes of time could inspire what happens in the omen trailer. Real ending in NG+ XDDDDD

If the fan theories are right about Ifrit's physical form being a possessed Ravus (people are pointing out a superficial facial resemblance and the fact that his left arm is charred like Ravus' was by the Ring of the Lucii), then it may not be Ifrit's true form.

Sounds like a Nojima/Nomura/Tabata narrative to me. But Tabata did say there would be a definitive ending and no multiple endings. We'll just have to see what he meant when we've seen the story through to the end.
