What would be perfect for me: shrink the Tech bar and the Armiger bar.
Increase slightly the size of Noctis' status box showing his HP and MP and tidily place the Tech and Armiger bar underneath it.
Remove the weapon wheel as it's not difficult to remember the placement of 4 weapons.
Move all the status bars of the characters to the very right side of the screen like in ED.
Move the mini-map as close to the top right corner as possible.
You can turn off most of the elements tho, including the wheel i think. Dat green stamina bar tho >___> much wow.

The game looks perfect so far, and the HUD is the only thing that turns me off. That's because i'm compairing it to the old ones they showed (that are sooo many), and the thing i can't really get is why changing from a gorgeous look to a cheap one :/ and yea the "WARP STRIKE", along with "BACK ATTACK" or "LINK STRIKE" popping up are really annoying... Anyway i think you can turn them off. They said that.
Pretty sure you can turn off those warp strike prompts. There was a video of the Deadeye fight from a while back (it's buried somewhere in the pile of similar videos) where Noctis did a warp strike on him from a point warp spot and the warp strike text didn't show up. Unless this was a bug, then you can evidently turn them off.

That said, I wish someone, whether it be a previewer or someone playing a demo, would just make a fucking video showing the full options menu already for crying out loud.

EDIT: found the video

What's so overloaded?
Well, ignis' libra popping on every time you lock on a target which takes like the 10℅ of the screen is an example. Then there is that useless "WARP STRIKE" text that shows up everytime you warp (a very common action lol), the stamina bar every time you run... I feel like all these stuff are unnecessary.

The stamina bar actually is necessary, at least if you want to be able to effectively use stamina cancel to sprint indefinitely.

I'll turn the warp strike/link strike text off immediately if given the option, though. I guess it might make the game look more RPG-like, but there's no real utility to it and it takes up an annoying amount of space.

The libra poping can be disabled if you don´t unlock it on Ignis skill tree.
The stamina bar is necesary, if not you´ll never know when Noctis is about to get tired or not during combat/outside of combat.
I don´t know what´s the deal with the "WARP STRIKE" text and every other botton promp since they take less than 10% of the screen. They will not bother you at all in your HD TVs, I´d argue they will be just as noticeable as the small fonts that has been trending in gaming nowadays. Because it serves no function other than to clutter the screen with text and say "yay, well done you, you did a warp-strike, an ability that takes no effort to pull off at all*clap clap clap*!
It's obnoxious and has no purpose being there.

And I've no need for button prompts that add to the mess on the screen. Be a bit more subtle like in ED(ED would have been perfect if it was just the enemy flashing and didn't show the button to parry).

Have they gotten rid of that stupid red shield and red ring that comes up when you are prompted to defend? Doesn't matter if they haven't as long as you can turn of the prompt al together.

Interestingly the Duscae ending only shows 5 deities.

I don't know if Carbuncle would count as part of the "mighty six".
The six mentioned in that piece we know about from Cosmogony includes Titan, Ramuh, Shiva, Leviathan, Bahamut and Ifrit. I think the one missing may be Ifrit. Don't understand where Carbuncle fits in, but maybe that's a kind of servant summon, or even a manifestation of the Goddess in that same artwork. Hopefully the full Cosmogony will have something about that, even if it's just on a Furtive Pygmy level.

The Big Bang painting by Amano shows more than that. Diabolos may be connected to Lucis. Sorry if you don't want to here about that but I will show some evidence. This first artwork is from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and it depicts Diabolos and the second one is from Kingsglaive which shows a creature that looks quite similar. What purpose would it serve to have that as the sigil of the Kingsglaive unit unless it's connected to Lucis somehow?. Also the winged skull thing as the Lucian sigil looks like Diabolos' skull with the horns and elongated chin. Just saying there is probably other summons in the game and I brought up Diabolos since you brought him up first.

I don't mind disagreeing. I won't press the point. Everyone's entitled to their opinions. It'll probably be settled in November.

Yup, basically that's why lol. And c'mon, it was better when it was simpler (for me, that is)... Concerning the stamina bar, i dont think i had any problem at all during Episode Duscae... Even in Battle, i dont think i had the occasion to make noct run till he was tired. So the utility depends on the subject, and im glad it can be turned off, cos its an eye rape.

Could've been something they added after focus tests, since less skilled players would need more noticeable visual cues to understand what they were doing, or had to do.
