Yeah that lock-on needs to be a bit more "sticky" if you get what I mean. In the vid the lock-on just shifted all over the place, meaning either the guy didn't lock-on properly, he kept moving the lock-on or the lock-on loves moving around. And yeah, camera in corners is terribad (but I mean, most over the shoulders cameras suck in corners) I wish they just fix it a bit so that it just moves out of the way of corners rather than just get closer and closer until it glitches out, or I mean have a better lock-on so it doesn't matter.

I actually watched the whole fight at 1/4 speed. I think the issue was that he was relying on the lock-on TOO much for this fight. Whenever the camera would pan upwards towards the sky it was because he was setting a hard-lock on her. I really didn't notice any other issues with it aside from the guy getting unlucky and accidentally warping into that really tight pocket of space between the fence and two containers, so the camera pretty much got pushed into first person view. People like to freak out over the camera with footage like this, but as with any action game I think 50% of the problem can be attributed to the player just not immediately adjusting it properly depending on where the character gets knocked around. I reserve judgement until I actually play it myself.

Also, I noticed various little UI improvements, like the point-warp button prompt now actually hovers near the actual warp point rather than sitting center screen, wait mode now shows agro lines (FF12 style), magic is now instant cast without the cast animation (although this might be a skill that you acquire), etc.

Also, did anyone else notice that this game has a LOT of weapons

Yeah the UI improvements are so good, and the weapons, holy shit dem weapons. Also in terms of your point, you could be absolutely right. Yeah like the only times the camera was bad was when he did go between things, which happens in most games. In terms of the lock on thing though, I hope that it was because he was relying on it too much. Personally as long as I can follow an enemy both manually and automatically controlling the camera and it works 95% of the time, I'm all g. It could've just looked bad because of the combinations of a fast moving enemy, a lot of ads, and him not controlling it properly.

talking about style, the tgs art panel is complete:

It's right there on the picture, but Astral/summon/boss speculation behind spoiler tags:

Just left of the robotic foot soldier from Niflheim we can see what looks like a knight on a horse, ergo Odin?

I have to agree.

The only time where i perceived the camera crapping itself was in really tight spaces the player got unlucky in. And half of the time its like the guy somehow forgot to realize any time Arenea jumps in the air its a que to use warp strike and engage in aerial combat. All the emberassing players in TGS man....

All and all the boss fight overall looked bloody amazing to me.

That boss fight with Aranea was very impressive to me. All the flying and jumping around while fighting her looked so badass not to mention a whole lot of fun. I don't hear much about this very often but I would like to show some love for the incredible particle effects and other graphical effects in this game. They are god tier and so beautiful to look at. I love the crystal shards that burst out when summoning weapons and warping around. Really impressive technically and artistically. Square gives their Final Fantasy games a visual flare that other games don't achieve. This game is truly a visual spectacle.

I think if there is 60 fps there is no point to stick with OG PS4, if the same 30 i see no real difference honestly, just better IQ.
I want to see Duscae region on standart PS4.

This means something to me. When I played Duscae again recently, I remembered how much I absolutely loved the day/night cycle in the menu. Along with Somnus playing, if I'm sitting there after a hard day of work, not quite ready to play, but puttering on my phone still, I could leave that up in the background.
