Wow nice find! Since the game is a reality based on fantasy, I love looking at where SE gets their inspiration from. To take a real location or landmark and give it that FF tweak is always fun to see! Now I'm wondering what Tenebrae was based on?
Tenebrae looks inspired by Rivendell haha. I'm sure there is at least a bit of real world inspiration though. It's one of the more fantastical environments that we have seen so far.

That's probably the point of it, that Tenebrae is somehow a more mystical place than the rest of the world. But looking at the spires and domes, I'm reminded of some Middle Eastern cities. Combined with architecture from some of the grander Western Gothic religious buildings.

Yea it's clear they wanted to show this place as magical and fantastical with all the floating land masses and elaborate architecture which kind of reminds me of Zeal from Chrono Trigger. It is gonna be so amazing to explore it. I think there is going to be other amazing fantastical towns and cities to explore as well. I feel a lot of people think we have seen most of the game and that there aren't that many surprises left which is patently absurd. That is way a lot of people on other forums think lol. I really can't wait to see more of this beautiful world.

I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on summons in FFXV and particularly trial of the titan? To be honest, seeing Ramuh in Episode Duscae generally left me shocked and in awe, which rarely happens in a video game for me. I've seen a lot of comments that the trial of the titan demo was messy, but i think with us being able to see it in context with the rest of the story and also the rest of the build up to the fight with titan, i think it has the potential to be one of the stand out moments of FFXV. Shadow of the Colossus is one of my favourite games and i think if the trials to gather the summons can be similar in terms of scale and scope, i will be more than happy.

The summons in FFXV are truly epic and I think Square has really outdone themselves with them. I personally thought the Titan fight looked fun and it looked like quite a visual spectical too. A lot of people seemed to hate it but I think the problem is that most of the people who played it made it look shitty by playing so badly. It was only 30% of the full fight according to Tabata. I wonder where Ramuh was in the opening 3 chapters that people got to play?. I thought he was supposed to be in the Duscae area?. I am betting where ever you see some huge fiery crystal like the Astral shard you will also find an Archaeon. There is that one place near Galden Quay(the little tropical area with the resort on the ocean) that looks like an island with a volcano or mountain that has a large crystaline structure on top that looks sort of like Astral Shard with the molten crystal around it. These are meteorites from the cosmos that landed on the planet that harbor the power of the Archaeons. I am really excited to see all the other summons and fighting them and then summoning their insanely destructive power to annihilate a small herd of garulas lol.

I'm glad to hear that there are people as excited about the summons as i am! They remain one of my favourite parts of a final fantasy game, mainly for there scale and sometimes ridiculous attacks! While i was enjoying the episode duscae demo on my first run through, i was admittedly struggling to grasp the controls and had a few concerns with the combat system (a lot of these have been addressed since which i really appreciate!). I then summoned Ramuh and it was pretty much a drop the mic moment, i was generally shocked and it was the point where i was fully on board with FFXV. I can't imagine how epic Bahamut is going to be based on that!

I've seen the volcano in one of the trailers and it made me think it's possibly the location for ifrit? I'm hoping they have some secret summons, similar to FFX. Also i hope we get a lot of end game content, secret weapons and bosses!

I just hope they don't put Apocalypsis Noctis as soundtrack to every summon boss fight in the game. This track is great, but we need something new!

Just the fact that these giant Archaeons with high graphical detail can storm in a pick you up from anywhere on the map and deliver one of their powerful grandiose attacks is really impressive to me on a technical level and the artists and animators really brought these legendary summons to life in the most spectacular way we could imagine. I think the volcano area or whatever it actually is may actually be the area where Titan is. I though he was at the Astral Shard but I don't think anyone found him while playing the master build. He was underground asleep holding up the Astral Shard in the Duscae demo if you could escape the artificial barriers keeping you from the unfinished part of the area but they may have moved him to that new area. I don't know though. In the Titan demo there is heat waves all around the area where you fight him indicating that it is hot so I feel that maybe the volcano could be where Titan is. I don't know but I can't wait to find out what is going on in this incredible game.

I think the above video of Ramuh from Episode Duscae, fully summaries my thoughts on the summons. I think most people's reactions were the same as mine, i was generally gob smacked by what i was seeing. I can't really say that happens very often and i'm sure the rest of the summons will be just as special! I don't think i've been this excited for a game release since Kingdom Hearts 2 over 10 years ago now. Kingdom Hearts used to be my favourite video game franchise (it's still up there for me), but i think Final Fantasy is slowly overtaking it as my favourite franchise as i've got older and as i've been following FFXV. I'm currently playing through FFVI and Type-0 for the first time in anticipation.

I'm sure exploring the areas, the trial of obtaining the summon and then getting to use them in all there glory will be awesome.

I was utterly stunned by Ramuh when I first saw him, and was flabbergasted by the sheer scale and majesty of every summon shown thus far, from Titan to
Ifrit
. I was even charmed by Carbuncle. I hope they impress when in context.

I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it up for the battle with Leviathan, as she seems to be a summon far beyond anything else in the game. I mean, she's more than likely that serpent thing intertwined with the crown-like adornment of the Goddess in the logo. It says something when a character/being appears in the game's logo.

Bahamut is also in the logo. The Genesis painting has two Archaeons embracing each other which most likely are the two from the logo which tells me they will be very important.

I've just been listening to some of the soundtrack on youtube and came across an interesting comment:
Screen Shot 2016-09-11 at 18.46.27.png
I think i'd agree with this to a certain degree. I discovered Final Fantasy through Kingdom Hearts and my first final fantasy was FFX on the PS2. I've grown up with Versus XIII transitioning into FFXV, with it starting out with the KH team and being under the stewardship of Tetsuya Nomura. Not forgetting a realtime combat system and also an epic soundtrack by Yoko Shimomura. Since E3 2013, i've been more excited for FFXV than Kingdom Hearts 3, and i think it's a sign of Final Fantasy slowly becoming my favourite video game franchise over Kingdom Hearts (which i still love). That's all credit to Tabata and the hard work of the team since the transition to FFXV.

fun trivia:

seems the old regalia (or a car with a design very close to it) would be implemented in Versus XIII, it wasn't just a concept.

Noctis apartment as seen in the anime is exactly the same as the one in the concept art:

I just noticed that in English voicecast trailer Luna already wears marriage ring, i haven't seen any rings on her fingers in Kingsglaive

And also it doesnt look like Lucii ring, so probably Leviathan event happens after they actually marry each other with Noctis, maybe thats why she already call him "King", since she is his queen. Cool little detail i think.

She also could be wearing a wedding dress.

Spoilered in case you can't watch it right now or just want to avoid it.
That was... short and kinda uneventful. I hope it's not the only thing they've prepared, especially as a big chunk had already been seen. I guess this is perfect for people tempted to go on media blackout, but not me haha. Although I think more is coming this week, whatever it might be.

Now, there were two very interesting things: first off, we get our first glimpse at Noctis and Luna together, even if they're not side by side, precisely. I wonder what she's saying in that speech; probably something related to her role as an Oracle.

And then, the train scene. An argument between Noctis and Gladio (again, I know shit about Japanese, so I wouldn't know what they're arguing about), but the interesting thing is that both Gladio and Ignis already have their scars: Gladio has a horizontal one in his forehead, whereas Ignis got sunglasses, so I'm assuming he's already blind or something like that. Pretty fucking cool.

This should be later on in the game, considering that and that they're on a train. I was expecting the scars to happen around the timeskip and not before it, as they look identical barring that. Hopefully there's still plenty of time for us to play the significantly different versions of the characters.

So, we are getting new things this week, during S-E's conference/live streams, right? Apart from, I guess, people's impressions and videos of the first chapters, similar to GC and PAX.

PS: ah, the FF XV PS4 looks pretty fucking nice: https://twitter.com/Nova_Crystallis/status/775592648883056640?lang=es
