To be fair, it's not like S-E is the most honest and transparent company. I mean, I believe the comment regarding the state of the game (mainly because how long it has been in full-production), but I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was false. Like, not at all.
What I believe is that they name this events (as well as the ones referenced in Thailand) in the vaguest way possible to not feel 'obligued' to make those statements true. And that's a shit attitude.

If you consider the trend FFVSXIII had, they stayed lip shut about anything and everything. Every now and then ( every year or 2) gave a "little info" if that.
Now the game is FFXV with 3-4 years of Full Production under their belt. I believe this changes things, especially now that the game is a mainline title.

Yeah, yeah, I think that's precisely why people are so mad at them: for being so secretive about a game that you would assume is their biggest thing in the foreseeable future and specially (well, in my case) because they basically said last E3 that from then on, they would start giving us a steady flow of info (I might remember that wrong, though).
But well, I guess that's more a matter of how to treat their consumers, something they really need to improve (at least in regards to this game. Others like ARR or LR have had pretty good coverage iirc). If, say, during this year they would have shown a short new trailer/scans/or at the very least talk about gameplay, story, new characters, the world... things would have been very different.

Personally, I feel bringing info from now on ( which can be taking in several different ways, Once a month? Once every 3 months? Once a year? anything past E3 2014 which is 1 full year i'd say at that point that they are indeed lying), and saying info ( Like Full Production/JP websites of FFXV get details/High Priority within the company *given* etc) are two different things.

But the problem is that not only they are giving away old info, but also that it's not even them the ones spreading that info xD. I mean, the only news (correct me if I'm wrong) we've gotten since last E3 have been 1)from PS4 and XBO events/webpages, 2)from questions asked during non-XV interviews and 3)from questions asked during general events (the Thailand Comicon).
So it's not like they are the ones wanting this flow of information (which isn't at all substantiall or steady), they only answer when asked with, basically, non-answers.
To me... that's lying, or purposely deceiving us. But of course, we don't know the whole picture: maybe they've changed plans (for example, if you believe that Prokanon guy, Famitsu would have had info for a while but was put on hold 'till E3) or maybe they have encountered some problems (whether it's the company or the game). But, at the end of the day, they haven't delievered what was promised.

God damn it, no it's not lying because they're not giving us information every day since E3. We've been getting small bits of information here and there. The point is that the current state of the development isn't a secret to the fans anymore, and they won't be hiding it anymore.

Nomura is only gonna do a sequel if the whole story can't be put on one disk. If the game's running to long. That same problem happened with Type-0 and Xillia. The game ended up going so long the extra plot points had to be carried over to a sequel. So if 15 gets a sequel I think it'll be ok. It won't be something to shutter about, as if they just threw something together to get money (I know they're a business, but there's a non-lazy way to do a sequel that insult the gamer). Rather something like getting the last volume of a series.
To me, a fan of Star Ocean games, I would rather 15 take play all over the entire world they live in and if they do have to do a sequel, have them traverse the land of the dead, Etro's domain.

Forgive me for being blunt, but it would be appreciative if people would tone down on the assumptions. First of all, Google Translate is a horrible way to get information. Even if you're hoping to get the gist of what the article says in Japanese, words are easily taken out of context if not given to the proper translation.

Square Enix has two showings planned for "unannounced games", meaning they haven't specified which games they are. Both of these showings will last 20 minutes. The first is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11th, at 12:00 PM, noon. Their second display is scheduled for Thursday, June 12th, at 12:20 PM.
They've also scheduled an event for "Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade", on June 11th at 12:20 PM, right after the first unannounced showing.
My prediction is that the first, on the 11th, will be for FF XV.
Their second, on the 12th, will be for KH 2.5 HD...and whatever else they'd like to spring on us, like a Type-0 Vita remaster. I can't see them spending 20 minutes on any game other than FF XV, and that's sincerely all I want from them this year. XV, 2.5, and Type-0 for the Vita. I can't see KH III being shown again.
