Gonna need translations on these... xD;
Made a request on a different forum and got these:

Tweet #1: For the one about the wedding, they basically say that the key art was made early in the process and it showed Lunafreya becoming queen, and they wanted to make sure that the game contained an expression of the idea shown in that art.

Therefore, before any other story details were made concrete, the idea of the final scene being a coronation was set up. Noctis in the logo was drawn by Amano and he liked the idea they gave him of retaining some aspects of how he looked in FF Vs XIII while adding new parts for XV.
Tweet #2: Regarding cup noodles, they originally felt that cup noodles seemed a good fit for camping scenes, so they wanted to include them in the game. And then Gladiolus was a great match with them, so they officially asked Cup Noodle maker Nisshin to collaborate.

It wouldn't be enough for there just to be Cup Noodles on sale in the game so they set up the story so that Gladiolus loves them, respects the people who made them and is in pursuit of the ultimate flavour. Nisshin agreed to this.

For the shrimp, they checked and redid the graphics many times in the process of making the visuals for the subquest where you search for the ultimate Cup Noodle. (translator's note: really? I knew they were in the game and it already sounds tacky but that is ridiculous...)
Tweet #3: They speak in another clip about how character designs would be adjusted once the story got fleshed out, using an example of Ignis originally being more like a military strategist with a delicate figure, but when they made him into someone who had protected Noctis since youth, they thought he would have learned martial arts as a defence and so he should have more pronounced muscles on his neck and he would have abs.

Interesting!

I wonder which key art they're talking about with Luna becoming queen -- the logo? The fact that the coronation was set in stone so early suggests quite a bit about the nature of the story they intended to tell, in any case.

With regards to Cup Noodle, the idea that it was the development team that kept making them more and more prominent rather than Nissin itself downright hilarious. I feel like there's gotta have been some degree to which it was a dev team in-joke that got out of hand. XD Maybe there was someone who worked at Squenix who was obsessed with the stuff... or maybe the devs ate them so often during crunch time that it was either have fun with it or go mad!

The idea that Ignis would have been trained in martial arts makes a ton of sense -- that sort of change is definitely appreciated.

In other words, you appear to be completely oblivious to the value of characterization, symbolism, and theme over and above bare plot. No wonder you have no love for Tabata's games.

My point about sequels is that Sakaguchi detested them, so it's... telling that they started being pushed the moment that he left the company.

And... which FFs are the worst in the series?
I'm not a hater of FFVIIR but I'm not fond of games being padded out into trilogies unnecessarily, especially when it comes to FF games where they've managed to tell conclusive stories for years, it's not something I want to see becoming a trend for FF. With more dev time I'm sure XV would've been able to include the Insomnia invasion in the game itself and some of the other additional content but nevertheless I'm glad it had an ending and not a cliffhanger. XV being multiple games seemed a bit overambitious, though I guess had it remained a spinoff of XIII it wouldn't have been too bad, but as a mainline game I wouldn't have wanted an XV-2.

As of 2013, it seemed like XVs story originally only went up to Altissia, there's no footage or art of anything past the Leviathan fight that was made at that time before Nomura left. You could attribute that to the game being unfinished but you'd think there'd be art or something. And a lot of what came after Altissia in XV did feel rushed/barebones when it initially released. Supposedly they did want Cartanica, Tenebrae and the World of Ruin to be larger areas but didn't have the time to implement it, Gralea also had that train station they didn't use. So on the one hand, it's a bummer they didn't have time flesh out the world in the second half of the game more, but on the other hand I'm happy the game had an ending, and one I liked at that. Just a shame the DLC was canned.

I was also thinking that, but it doesn't make much sense to show off the end game area in the reveal trailer.
We also have concept art of Noctis in Versus original outfit travelling on a train, so I'd assume they planned on including all nations like Solheim, Tenebrae and Niffelheim.
And the linear nature of the game (which they originally had planned) would enable that.

They basically showed off VII Remake's endgame in the trailer with all of the Whispers swarming Shinra HQ. And sure VII's plot was already known to a lot of us but that particular scene was exclusive to the remake. And yeah I think Noctis on the train in his old outfit is one of the only hints at it possibly going beyond Altissia but for me I think the game would've been a decent size if they had made the Insomnia invasion part of the game, including the map they used in Ep Ardyn as tutorial area and then given us the entirety of Lucis as a road trip followed by Altissia. And there was mention of a Ninja Village in the game files so maybe there were other locations cut from Lucis as well that would've filled out things more between the two big cities. After seeing how they made an entire game set in Midgar for VIIR it doesn't seem that far fetched to me tbh.

There's a high 4k quality trailer for Versus XIII on youtube. Its really good!

There is one thing I noticed about the 2009 Versus trailer that is easy to miss because it's only 1 frame long.
Here is the shot which is first ever used in the extended 2006 Versus "Cloud DVD" trailer which was its 2nd trailer, which also resused this shot in the 2008 "DKΣ3713" trailer, with these images being from the trailers I downloaded way back in 2006 and 2008.

Here is the same shot in that 2009 Versus trailer trailer from the version I downloaded in 2009, as we can see they added Dreadnought Niflheim airships to it which wasn't there in the 2008/2006 version, so they were still revising the CG even back then.

And the "4k" version of the 2009 trailer.

The Dreadnought itself was designed around 2008 according to this Versus dev board from around that time showing an illustration of it.

Even after all these years that stayed practically unchanged.

There is hope reignited in me after those June 2020 twitter posts between Noct's VA and Co. Maybe the NDA really is what kept everyone so hush hush all these years. Would be cool to hear some new info of what happened behind the scenes from a reliable source.

Regarding that mobile game, any news on it? I almost want to think that maybe that product will have more references or new lore from the older version of XV's story. Maybe Yoko and some VAs will contribute to that game if it's a larger mobile project.

as far as I know, no updates about that project. Legends say anything named FFXV gets either delayed or cancelled... and I believe them lol

@SerjAngelo "Why do I have provide OTHER people a better first impression of the game that I'VE been looking forward to for so long at the cost of my own?"

So to continue on from the FFVII:R thread I can understand why you're upset as a consumer. I don't share your same sentiment, and lot if just boils down to my expectations being different. I do look at the continued support from a business outlook in this case. Yes, FFXV has flaws, but they weren't a big enough of a detriment to leave me with a sour taste at the end of the day. Sorry the Ultimate version did not ship to your country. That's a big oof.
