Thanks so much paper, ya a true comrade! That is SO much hype...wow. Question though, any indication if the datalog is just World and Character entries? Or will there be other pieces of lore?
There should be the new Monuments (23 of them I have found) that describe the journey of a certain monarch (I haven't read this part to I don't know who exactly, just stating what @Storm and @NoxFleuret have said about it). I think you can find most of them in the dungeons again.

7 files found in Insomnia about Omega and Solheim

Other random pieces of lore added in the world from what I'm seeing.

Edit: Ninja'd lmao

yeah those plus the hidden accessory that unlocks Armiger Unleashed will be huge incentives to explore every cranny of the world.

Thanks @Storm and @Paperchampion23 . This is something I've wanted for a very long time too. The lore itself is going to be amazing, but just, a reason to go out and explore again is seriously making me happy. It's really why I feel like restarting the game.

To be honest, I'm shocked so much stuff is being added..
Yeah, they really meant for this to be a fitting end for the game, well, before they decided to make the glorious decision and make 4 more DLC this year and next lol.

And trust me. You'll love some of the lore that hasn't been spoiled yet. And there are at least 2 scenes that I'm absolutely not spoiling from the game that sound like the best parts of the DLC.

(And for those of you that are PM'ing me, the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)

I'm definitely doing a NG+. Between the possible Chapter 10 changes and the Royal additions it will be nice to see all the updates with a full playthrough, no matter how subtle. I do kinda wish that this was the final DLC, yet considering what is happening with FFVII Remake it makes sense that they are going to expand FFXV until next year.

Hey paper, thanks for the ton of info you gave us. Hate to ask but can you find anything new about the armiger unleashed ? (if you have the time and if you want of course).
Its honestly my most anticipated feature, and I'm starting to lose my mind over it lol. I don't need the location of the accessory, just more info about it if you find anything besides what og said.

Some of the dialogue Paper has mentioned goes in with gameplay stuff to do with the Kings of Yore from my understanding from OG.

And yes, Insomnia is quite large. I know OG posted some dialogue about the Glaive in his topic on Reddit the other day too as it is, because he got sick of people messaging him about it, among other things.

I've seen the lines regarding the Regalia, in the proper order. I'll just say it now, as OG has explained it to me: a good amount of the content isn't in the actual order, and while he's figured it out he just didn't want to ruin the fun for people.

As for the dossiers, there's more in regard to Bestiary content as well from what he's mentioned. The character ones do cover Ultimania information for some of them, unfortunately at a glance there's not really anything particularly new for certain characters that seem lacking in backstory content.

OG has also said there's a couple more for the document/item set in Comrades as well, but again... spoilers.

I would've liked to have seen more for another character, so I do hope that whatever OG has pulled isn't all of it.

[Edit]

And I don't get why people have to keep asking about the Armiger accessory. It seems kind of obvious how/where it's obtained, and they already detailed it in the PC Gamer Weekender stream.

There doesn't really seem to be much more of a reason to go over it more.

Hey so real quick would it be possible to see if they have changed the scenario for getting Nyx's kukris? They changed the way you get them so suddenly after patch 1.21 where you no longer fight the necromancer and they're just laying there in the middle of the streets now. So I'm curious if they're gonna do something further with that cuz it's a really peculiar and very specific change. Doubt it was to make them easier to find either because at this point they were pretty common knowledge among the community.

Maybe they could add monster attacks in the bestiary, would be a cool new feature.
And regarding Armiger unleashed, I'm just really curious about this "made for experienced players" and "building up combos", like, what do they even mean by that.

Lol I think @Nariya36 was referring more to the actual mechanics of the feature during combat as in button layout and prompts. At least that's how I interpreted it.

i think its because in the regular armiger you only need to press/hold one button to be awesome, while the new one will require more from the player to make use of its full potential.

From what I can guess they took cues from all the other bros' combat systems so I'm guessing instead of holding circle you probably have to actually press it in succession and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a combo system going where you alternate between light and heavy attacks for varying results which would be reminiscent of Gladio's combat. I know they mentioned that the special moves are dependent on how well you're comboing if I'm remembering the PCWeekender stuff correctly so that looks like it's taking a cue from Ignis' clarity and from Prompto's system they probably implemented debuffs and other abilities that offer variety like how we saw the royal arms can passively harass enemies now. That's just my guess though but I definitely got that feeling of it marrying all of the best aspects of Noct's friend's movesets together.

I think that might have been a glitch or is exclusively for Chapter 14. I tested it yesterday, when I encountered it in Chapter 15 ( For whatever reason when I was doing a playthrough back in December it didn't appear normally in Chapter 14) and killed Psychomancer it still dropped Ulric's Kurkis.

Both times that I went there were during chapter 15 with the first instance having the necro show up and then the second time around after the update I went there again and there was no more necro and the kukris were a little further down the street just sitting there. A lot of people reported this as well. So tbh idk at this point if the necro is still showing up for you it still doesn't make sense to me that a simple glitch would not only cause an error in the necromancer's spawn point but also completely change the location of the item that shouldn't exist until they're dropped. Just seems too intentional to me.

So just wanted to clarify why I think we fight Cor in the royal edition (refer to my previous datamine post the page before). Again, it is speculation with the dialogue I found (It's just not clear who said it but it is placed near some other dialogue where Cor is definitely talking at some point)

I've posted this before (about a week ago), but below are the new battles (boss fights):

upload_2018-2-27_11-26-48.png
Firstly, yes, Cerberus and the 3rd King have 2 stage battles.

Second, I have no idea if Ifrit got a revamped/updated/extra fight. Comrades is adding a harder Ifrit fight, but I have no idea if that specific fight is being incorporated now in the main game (as another stage or an improved fight overall).

But the most important point.

upload_2018-2-27_11-28-49.png

Cor is labeled the exact same way. These are lines to initiate a battle with an "enemy", and oddly, Cor is labeled is such (a boss battle). This is why I think Cor is being controlled, there's dialogue like this:

"Prepare yourself! Start praying... Do you dare? You lack mettle. The Shield can fight. Such insolence... I shall crush you... Feel my wrath... Do you dare? Have at! You disappoint me. Fool! Pathetic! Forgive me... My mind was not my own... I see you... You're mine... Look sharp. Farewell"

Again, I have no idea if this is fully true, but I can't pinpoint why there would be a Cor battle otherwise. Maybe @NoxFleuret could chime in on this with OG and see what he thinks.

Also, without spoiling much, it seems that your new goal in Comrades is bring power to as far as Insomnia (probably why we get an Ifrit/Ardyn event in the trailer). I will not be saying more about this. Its a nice connection to the Royal update.

that sounds like it could be a friendly fight in the camp, apart for the "my mind was not my own" bit.
