Here is a great video of the Titan boss battle from Hollie at Playstation Access if anyone would like to look at it. I apologize if someone has already posted this.

I find it interesting how many people think all these other videos are so much better than the MS demo. This one above here is no better. There's one out there that's pretty awesome with a lot of aerial moves, etc, but most of them are no different from the MS demo.

Honestly I think people panicked because they didn't know what to think because the first video was devoid of context. Don't take my word for it, watch it again.

BTW, this isn't just the video, its the FPS people doing their thing. On the Xbox, with stuff flying around all over, Rock solid 30 fps. We can put the FPS whining to rest now.

I just thought this particular video was nice and smooth and I like Hollie and Robs narration. It has nothing to do with me thinking it's better than MS' demo that they showed.

True, and technically part of this was me coming from the official ffz forums with how manyy hate topics there are on it and other stuff from e3. Wonder if i should drop that place too.

I had no intention of cluttering up this thread with negativity honestly. I posted that video just because I thought it was a nice version of the Titan fight. I just did it for people that were interested in seeing it.

No, this is all my fault, lol. I actually just came to post the fps video, and it happened to apply and I had to open my big mouth.

Actually now that i think about it, the trailer situation is almost similar to what Super mario 3d world got back at e3 2013.

And i sure was here for sure, back then at the reveal, nearly EVERYONE shat on it for not only being a sequel to a 3ds predecessor, but even going as far as calling it an uprezzed 3ds game/"not a true 3d mario".

Fast forward months later, the same game gets a spectacle looking trailer which restored a lot of hype for 3d world as well as killing off the majority of the hate brigade, leading to critically acclaimed reviews around release date.

I could almost see the same happening for FFXV.

So now that we know that Insomnia is not explorable as a town (already expected, even during Versus days with the old beginning as all the showed was battle during the escape and then the city got conquered) and that Altissia is the biggest one (also expected, considering the focus on it, the size and how friendly/oblivious to Noctis and co seems to be, enough to let him wander and enjoy), how many more do you think we'll have?

Lestallum looks like it has a good enough size. I'm expecting around two or so more like that and some small settlements there and there (like the gas station, the resort...)

Oh, and Tenebrae. From the Uncovered trailer it looked like it could be explorable, although looked considerably smaller than Altissia. I'm guessing that this could be the second biggest? I doubt we'll be in Niflheim for more than battling and I don't really know about Solheim.

I think there will be a lot more to this game than people realize honestly. I expect a few more large cities and towns and very interesting enviroments to explore that we never expected. I think lots of people are taking everything out of context from the info that has been told to us over E3. Who knows if Altissia is the biggest city in the game or not. It could have been a mistranslation honestly.

I said "biggest city" because I could have sworn he said that, but I'm not so sure anymore. Anyways, I think it'll be, it looks pretty big and you can actually make the scale justice with all the intesections it has due to water separating districts. I'm really happy about how it looks (shitty waterfalls and aliasing aside): it looks alive and beautiful.

We've yet to see Solheim or even Niflheim. Hell, we've only seen two explorable cities so far: Altissia and Lestallum. I think we will have, at least, two more cities or towns in the same scale as Lestallum, maybe bigger (I expect Tenebrae to be bigger, but who knows) and then smaller settlements spread throughout the continent. I kinda hope they don't reveal all of the big towns before the game launches.

Oh, and dungeons. Not only the caves, as they are a bit generic (like the ones in pre-VII FFs), but specific ones. And this is a FF, so I don't expect the ending part to happen in a place different than a crazy ass dimension or dungeon.

I'll check on Altissia again, but I'm pretty sure it's the biggest explorable city.

Edit: Yup, Tabata says that Altissia is the largest city in FF15. Check 28:19:

That is definitely something he shouldn't have said honestly. People may interpret that as there won't be any other location with as much spectacle as Altissia. I don't really share that view but it still seems like a bad move.

If we base our speculations of towns off of the old clay model map we've seen in the past, there are quite a few number of towns in the game. As a few people have mentioned, there is a lot more to this game than a lot of us have seen so far. We've really only seen the areas that are close to the beginning of the game, just think about that...

Duscae region with Lestallum, Caem, Hammerhead, and the areas surrounding that are just one part of the region of this world. We have Accordo which holds Altissia and perhaps a few other areas, then there's Tenebrae, Solheim and Niflheim we have yet to see, we've seen a small glimpse of Tenebrae but not much. We know there is a volcano as hinted at when mentioning where Ifrit might be, as well as shown directly in the Type-F footage with the Regalia flying around different regions, you can imagine that the volcano will be part of a region that has many towns as well.

Also, remember, the game will go from more realistic in terms of setting to the fantastical as the game progresses, so we can expect to see even more crazy towns and areas in the game as we progress. Also, keep in mind, the game's story content is expected to be around 45~ hours, so you can guess how many towns a game like this would have in it.

I think we can expect quite a few towns and regions in this game, a lot of them will probably be around the size of Lestallum which is actually larger than you might think, the metal foundry like area was shown in the World of Wonder trailer, and that place looks not only important for the story, but actually huge.

And, don't forget about that massive train station we saw a long time ago, that place is enormous, imagine what sort of a town would need to accommodate a train station that size.

I was thinking about the whole
Ardyn is a old king of Lucis of 2000 years ago
thing, and...

you guys probably remember the epic Versus XIII trailer from 2011, so there's a scene where king Regis is telling someone that he can't become king because Regis wanted to be recognized as the last king in history.

curious is that Nomura himself confirmed that he wasn't talking to Noctis, which means there's another heir to the throne.

Hmm, not entirely sure about that. He could have been discussing it with someone else. And let's remember, that piece could have ended up on the cutting room floor. Probably did actually, along with the FNC terminology (sure they kept mythos itself as base, as stated in interviews), the opening segment of Noctis running from Lucis, the motif of open and active Reaper/Death worship, and Lunafreya's former incarnation as Stella.

Don't think that has anything to do with it. I'm also pretty sure that entire scene is scrapped, plus it wouldn't explain anything. I would like to talk more about why I think the spoiler makes no sense and has no substance but I won't.

Did they say we cannot explore Insomnia? Only for a battle field i saw.
Yes, that's true.
