Not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Still, lame finale and all, it was a nice month of info. Even some of the "filler" articles had some decent info in them. Now, time to get back to building that time machine.

No No, we talked about this before, you will just mess the timeline up and then no one will ever play XV, better to go with cryosleep:)

Cities are all seemingly are on the scale of Novigrad, from Witcher III. In fact, they stated they are a little worried how filled these cities will be because of how big they are. Expect a lot of shops, alcoves, landmarks, etc.

Character interactions are important. Whether it be via the combat (like TC stated), the banter in the car, the animations in the field as they run around, or cutscenes where they are all together, how these characters interact and play off each other is a very core piece of the game.

The world is open, but shouldn't worry those who prefer more linear-based worlds. They described it as being (like many of us have stated) 1:1 interpretations of the old games' worlds. Just open enough to provide plenty of side stuff to do, but linear enough to focus on the main story and not get so sidetracked that it detracts from the focus.

For those who are fans of the pre-PS2 era, fear not. Many of the staff working on this game are fans of the older ones (as well as many having actually developed those older ones). V and VI were notable as being the largest influences. However, VII, VIII, and IX are definitely big inspirations as well.

Elemental magic is found via naturally occuring areas in the world, similar to FFVIII drawpoints.

Areas of Chapter 1 aren't chock full of tons of "goodies", but there is plenty of wildlife running around, NPCs every now and then, as well a couple handfuls of secret areas and landmarks to distract you if you want. It should also be noted, they highly emphasized, that Chapter 1 is in a desert area and is therefore somewhat purposely sparse compared to other segments of the game (it's also meant to be as an introduction). They pretty much said you will see just as much in the desert as you did in Episode Duscae.

Yes, this is most everything that was covered, except these things: Car damage happens, and can be fixed, They know a little something about boss battles (outside of summons) due to seeing some of the monster art book that Dan Seto showed a couple things from earlier.

About ring magic specifically, Joe speculated that Noctis's swirling phantom swords ability (Armiger) in the actual game, is only gained later once he attains the royal Lucian ring seen in the Reclaim your throne trailer. He also believes (even though SE won't talk about it yet) that the theory that each Phantom sword once belonged to one of the previous 113 Lucian kings, is likely true. This would jive with the info we heard in the past, that when a previous Lucian King dies, his "power" is transferred or channeled (probably through the ring) to the next king.

Also, the question of Insomnia was again (non-answered). The upshot is that even the GI people do not know if when/ how/ whether Insomia will be explorable, but it is clear that it won't be in the beginning. (They all seem to think as we have, that it will be endgame). I think its strange that GI included Insomnia in their "5 Exciting Destinations" feature if they are not really firm on whether it is explorable.

Finally, someone asked about the E3 2013 trailer again (Leviathan specifically). Joe said "It should be there, at least in some form...I would not expect that sequence to be frame for frame in there exactly the same, But I think it is a good representation if what they want the game to look like, feel like, and play like." Then Kim said "They told us if they set an expectation for something, they tried to deliver on it, so if we saw something, that was them trying to make sure". However, GI said they saw nothing in their playtime, that was depicted in the E3 2013 trailer itself.

Maybe this means the Leviathan battle must happen later than we are thinking?? Maybe we will come back to Altissia later?

So are we not going to see any gameplay footage of Altissia now from GI?. The GI cover trailer showed footage from Altissia so I thought we were going to get a video of some exploration.

Maybe their NDA doesn´t allow them to made public certain footages?
I guess that is a possibility but I still figured since they showed it in a trailer that was meant to tease what was to be shown for the month long coverage that they would have some sort of update for it but I guess not. No big deal honestly. We have had more than enough footage and info for a little while and the game is being released relatively soon so I am more than content with what I have seen.

I kind of hope this is true, I like that we have only had glimpses of the big imoressive places thanks to Platinum demo, various trailers, etc.

They actually got to see and explore some big cities outside of their playthrough of chapter one, which is why they did indeed have footage of it.

My takeaway is that GI isn't showing most of this footage because it's so rough. They expressed surprise that they were even able to record as much as they did, and with people freaking out about the graphics in the few portions they did show I don't think SE would allow them to show a more expanded look at the unfinished areas. I mean, some of the footage was downright bad.

I question why they allowed them to play an old build of the game an at the same time record footage if they wouldn´t allow to show them? Couldn´t S.E just simply make them do a press writen preview.
