It will take some time to go through everything, based on the demo though I noticed that parrying is still done the same, which is quite awkward, but I was also presented with opportunities to just attack but I don't know for what reason... So, things are still a bit confusing at this point in time, perhaps analysis of the videos we saw will provide some insight.
My analysis will actually be fairly light, since most of the content we got was focused on the story, so perhaps I'll making a commentary over the different videos instead of doing a normal text post.

okay i woke up and then I saw an entry on my what's app.
- Brotherhood Anime (an anime??!! That's really unexpected)
- Kingsglaive CG Movie (okay, so the rumor was right)
- Platinium Demo (it looks just beautiful)
And than I saw some pictures, not the trailers yet, and I have to say, it looks soo epic!
Can't wait for the CG movie, which looks really impressive and realistic. I really had to look closely if it really was CG. O_O
Also Altissia, Insomnia and just everything else is breathtaking!

I originally wanted to watch the event, but after the news about the release date and the demo broke yesterday AND I was beat up by a city trip I took yesterday, I slept in because the event was at 04:00 CET.
So, let's break the rest down bit by bit:
1. Trailer: Looks good. No, scratch that, it looks REALLY good. Nothing to add here really
2. Florence & The Machine providing a cover version of "Stand by Me" as the theme song: I'm usually opposed to these things, preferring songs that were written directly for the game, but this is a good pick from both an artist and song choice point. I don't think they could have done a lot better by writing an original piece.
3: Brotherhood: Watched the first episode today and it's... okay. A little crummy animation-wise, but it gives off a nice bit of characterization for Noctis and his crew.
4. Kingsglaive: And here is the thing that bothers me a little. I'm not opposed to a theatric feature accompanying the game, but I also hope watching the film isn't mandatory to understanding the whole game. If it's additional fluff where the people that have seen it may have an "aha moment", that's cool with me.
But overall... yeah, pretty excited. Not hyped, but sufficiently excited. May just turn out all right.

I would like to think of Kingsglaive to as something like the FFX Jetch´s spheres turned into a movie.
