Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy X & Final Fantasy X-2 have together sold over 14 million copies worldwide on PlayStation 2. We can assume X sold 8-8.5 million where X-2 sold 5.5-6 million. Here's a translation of the paragraph thanks to goldpanner.

I don't think anyone has any investment in the game's failure or success. Personally, I don't care how the game sold because those things never really interest me. I don't really have a problem with this being posted here though, there was a recent translation done for it so it's more recent in that regard. Again, though, I doubt they really care if it did well or not and its not because they want it to do bad.
