Obviously for some things they're going to come right out and say that they were added due to fan demand. For other things they won't and there won't be any way to know.
And yet so far the only feedback they've done was stuff they were going to do anyway (in the 2.0) and so far no other signs of feedback have been taken into consideration.

Seriously, I don't know why everyone is going crazy about fan feedback when nothing is happening with feedback.

Uh... cause they've been heavily touting feedback for a while? Whether any of it is true is another story. A lot of it seems like a facade. I don't think they'll do anything drastic (because it doesn't make sense). Regardless, the "we're listening to your feedback!" stance is bad for a couple reasons. They seem to be moving away from it somewhat, so good for them.

And you're right, they haven't taken "fan feedback" anywhere really. At least not anywhere significant. And like I mentioned, I doubt they will. But it's what they've been saying and implying that has some people kinda... on edge, I guess.

Listening and responding are two completely different things though, you should probably realize that. No one is on edge except for idiots that over react to things.

Saying and implying they're listening when they're of course not is a terrible practice though. It's not what they have or haven't done, it's the way they've been discussing "feedback." Let it stand on its own. And like I said, they seem to have moved towards that. And that makes sense as it gets closer to being finished.

I don't even believe such a game like FFXV deserves fan feedback to begin with by they embraced a handful of it nonetheless. Just be excited for what the game is going to be.
You and others are living proof it does in many ways. So many people have expectations for this game and so allowing people an avenue for their thoughts to be at least listened by developers can lighten some people's loads when it comes to what they think this game should culminate into. Simply listening to feedback doesn't mean anything, it means they are open to hearing what people have to say. It does not mean they are going to change things outright and base the game around what other people have to say.

Listening to feedback ultimately means they will listen to the community as the community is what matters most at the end of the day, they're the ones that are playing the game, and they're the ones who have been patiently waiting since 2006 for this game to come to fruition.

Saying and implying they're listening when they're of course not is a terrible practice though. It's not what they have or haven't done, it's the way they've been discussing "feedback." Let it stand on its own. And like I said, they seem to have moved towards that. And that makes sense as it gets closer to being finished.
But, they ARE listening... I said listening and responding are two things, not listening and ignoring. Listening to feedback means taking it in and seeing what that means for the fans and what that means for the game. If someone expresses some stupid comment about the battle system that ultimately doesn't really fit with the vision for the game and it's just some change that's unrealistic to even consider then they're not going to do anything with it. However, if it's something that's within the scope of the project and makes sense and many other people echo the same thoughts and it's something worth going over with the development team to discuss the idea then they are responding. You say they seem to have "moved towards that", but it's always been this way... there hasn't been a time where they've done anything different then they are right now.

Their last bit of feedback requested was focused on the ATR. They asked people to voice their opinions on the ATRs and how they felt about them. This is something people already have done and will continue to do for quite some time because that's just how some people are. So, no one here is against that... given that most of you have already expressed your "feedback" about the ATR. However, you haven't done so formally in a way that would reach the team by posting on the forums your thoughts.

For example, if you think they have too many ATRs and should focus more on showing big trailers then why don't you post that on the forums for example? What is wrong with this? I've seen countless people say how they think the ATRs go, a bit hypocritical for those same people who I have also seen criticize feedback despite them essentially giving SQEX what they want indirectly.

Overall, I think people should stop making a mountain out of a molehill. I'm just here for the ride and take things as they come, I am very much a passive person when it comes to most information unless something is outright ridiculous. I have seen many people lash out and speak out against things and then cry about feedback.

Who says they are doing this though? To me (just to me, not saying it's fact) it seems as if they put up this nice facade of actually listening and responding, but really are just doing their own thing. And that's what you say is beneficial, but doesn't it make you wonder? Should they have gone down that route in the first place? They do want to reconnect with fans (duh!), but why play it up so much? They come across as wishy-washy/lacking confidence to a lot of people. Is it worth it? I don't know. This is the internet, so of course there's going to be a vocal minority.

You say they seem to have "moved towards that", but it's always been this way...
No, I meant it seems they are moving away from touting the feedback stance, and that makes sense at this point. Info collecting period for Duscae demo is over (and I do think a lot of that survey was just for the demographic info, but that's irrelevant).

But you're absolutely right. Of course they'll implement beneficial changes. Why the heck wouldn't they? But placing big importance on fan feedback had to have been detrimental to some extent. Or else people wouldn't be "worried." Or else people wouldn't be poking fun at it. Or else we wouldn't be having this conversation. It's this wishy-washy appearance that people don't like the most.

But of course people are going to overreact to it. It's the internet. What do you expect? Personally I just want fodder for (lame...?) jokes, so keep it coming SE/Final Fantasy series/whoever is supplying all this potential comedy.

Do they play it up that much though? I rarely hear them actually talk about it. In fact, I hear fans mention feedback more than the developers do... interesting isn't it?

I think it's just people take things way too far. Personally, I see fan feedback and just see "oh that's nice an avenue for people to get their voices across" and think nothing of it past it. Unfortunately, there are people that harp over it time and time again and turn it into something it's not. I guess some people let things bother them or get worried more than me, but honestly I just don't care... Whether it be the ATR's contents or feedback or how long ATRs are or various changes... I just don't care... some people have shown that it annoys them but honestly I don't see why.

Well, I would hope that the community wouldn't overreact, at least the core community. Complete random non-core fans whatever, but there are a lot of core fans of Versus/XV that are seemingly complaining about something that culminates into NOTHING at the end of the day, and I have to wonder why...

So, out of curiosity, what did you guys think of the battle system?
Do you hate it like GAF does? I don't remember people hating on it when the demo got released, and personally I though it was a very solid foundation for a great battle system and had a cool rhythm to it. And now that Tabata confirmed real-time switching between weapons decks, I'm not concerned at all about the quality of the battle system, especially with things like magic, summons, gambits, more cross moves, aerial combat, and even guns and shields confirmed for the final release.

What do you think?

I don't know what GAF thinks, the only things I don't like about the battle system is the parrying and the cross link QTE bull shit just going on the demo alone. However, that's pointless because there's more stuff to be implemented in the final game.

That’s a hint! Her assistant Gentiana is not just any assistant. Rather, she herself also is a special existence, you could say.
Arecia Al-Rashia again ?

In order to prevent the Plague of the Star from advancing, Luna uses her powers. Because of this Plague, as the days go by, the nights also lengthen. Luna is preventing the world from plunging into complete darkness. The long nights will also affect game play. When you advance in the story, the nights get longer. According to Tabata, there is a very important meaning behind the word “dawn.”
Lunafreya=Princess of Heart
Plague of the Star=Heartless
