That's true, but Toriyama didn't really do much writing for X-2, XIII-2 or LR despite his strength as a writer. And if Toriyama isn't directing his own game then you've got to wonder what Daisuke Watanabe is up to.

I'm finding it hard to like the character designs. Specifically the characters from the mainline Final Fantasy titles. Should have at least made them taller and look more like the protagonists.
