He countinued it after some years and finished it. Here you can read it complete.
Years later the mangaka started the sequel manga(a monthly manga) called Shaman King Flowers, at the moment this manga is on undefinitive hiatus, as the magazine where it used to be publish went bankrupt.

Nice. It deserved a proper ending. (Though to be honest I actually liked the "good night" ending.)

Might check out that sequel too!
