If thats all u get for Platinum im dissapointed. Its 2 things;

- The no extra stat on Garb / Mediguard lv1.????
- It doesnt look quite UNIQUE! i prefer my Smoking over that anyday

The guard ability on that reward outfit is, I believe, "Immortal Guard". It's probably the ability Lightning had in the Requiem of the Goddess DLC, where she takes no damage from any attack for as long as she's guarding.

Erren is doing an import review anyway, but I'm thinking we can run a 'from the community' impressions feature on RPG Site and perhaps also Nova Crystallis (Erren's final say here) where we group some of your thoughts together so there's a wider opinion than just ours.

This doesn't pertain to anything in the game itself (technically), but as this seems to be the most active thread about the game, I thought I'd share that, during a look on the GameStop website, I found that the guide for LR is once again from Piggyback. I, for one, am happy, as the guide they made for XIII-2 was one of the best guides I've seen for a game. Though, that's probably because I don't use many official ones.

Did you get the powered up base sword and shield? Also how much HP do you have? I beat him first try quite easily with 14K HP.

I just killed him! My god he was hard...... I had the ultimate weapon and shield yes. was on 4500 / 4500 and around 15,2k Health

Problem was. Phase 4 is tricky getting him in stagger. i used 9 GP to get him in Knock out.

Now i just started Hard Mode and i see awesome weapons and shields but PRICY as hell. 800k for a shield O_O...i got 350k

So in other news, I actually have in my possession HQ direct screenshots of many of the items you can have within the game. Garb, weapons, shields, decorations, and a few scenes (As well as some lower-quality offscreen shots). Debating whether I should post them here, where they will be lost pretty quickly should discussion pick up, or in a new thread dubbed "Lightning Returns Collection List". The import players I have contact with have been kind of... Well, busy of late so I haven't received any new material in over a week.

There are 66 sidequests in total excluding the text-based board quests from Chocolina. However, you can only do 65 sidequests per playthrough, because in order to do one of them, you must fail one quest. If you complete it, then you won't be able to do the second part. If you fail it, you will be able to do the second part, but the first part is failed.

Thanks for the fast answer so are these board quests from Chocolina a lot too? Because if I compare the number of quests with the number of fragments you have to find in XIII-2 then there are not that many sidequests. (But still look really forward to do them )

So I have another question to the ones that already played the Japanese version. How fast did the monsters die out? I know that it probably depends on the monster itself but did you feel that it was way to fast or do you need to fight a lot of regular monsters before they become extinct? It would be sad if you fight many of them at the beginning and then they cease to exist and you walk through a void world.

There are 83 board quests. That depends on the speed you kill the monsters, really. The most disappointing part about it is that there are only 40-odd enemies from the pool of enemies, which is kind of limited and these enemies continue to recur throughout main quests, side quests, the open world and even the coliseum.

Welp, after a 69-hour playthrough time, I completed Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. And I loved it. A quick rating would be about a, hmm...a solid 8/10, easy.

do you think its better than XIII or XIII-2?
