Yay, just found out, I won't have to wait for any cinema release. It's releasing on DVD alongside the game in the UK!

EDIT: Pre-ordered. Looking forward to it, at least as a visual spectacular.
The Deluxe Edition of the game also comes with the Kingsglaive Blu-Ray :)

Oh, and that poster looks great!

"Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV Original Soundtrack" will be releasing on 7 September this year! Two CDs long, it will feature Graham's music for the title alongside Shimomura's main theme.

Here's 4Gamer's article on it.

EDIT: The OST's dedicated site has track previews. And they're intense.

IN ADDITION... A TV special called "FFXV UNIVERSE REPORT" will air in Japan in July 6, three days before Kingsglaive's cinema debut: it will feature behind-the-scenes coverage of XV, Brotherhood and Kingsglaive, along with interviews with unspecified production staff.

Here's the article on that.

1st 2 min. of the film already made people cry.

The music during the ending credits is spectacular, and once you're immersed, a surprise lies at the end. Something that'll make you stay!

The identity of the specters in the Dawn trailer will be revealed.

Very emotional film, get tissues.

Key phrase for KINGSGLAIVE is "everything for the future king." Keep this in mind when watching the film!

Luna in the EN version gives more of a grown-up feel than the JP one.
The identities of the towering figures become clear in the film.

Some things coming out of the Kingsglaive advanced screening:

Those who finished Episode Duscae will know about the movie's ending.
The golden accessory on Regis's head is the royal crown (Nozue)

The identity of the all-armored character turns out to be kind of a surprise.

The Audi we thought is a car for official use actually belongs to someone.
Monster FFVII International makes surprising appearance.

Will I be able to hold out on watching it until September?
Not me. I can tell you that right now. I hate the idea of pirating (and I will still be buying a digital version when it becomes available) but I will be downloading the first handicam version of it I can find.

Understand, BTW, I really am about as anti-piracy as any rational person, but SE asked for this one. They have use salivating at every frame of new footage. They should have jsut done a world-wide digital release because a lot of people are going to pirate it and they're not going to bother paying for it later.

Hmm, yeah I might do the same. But I'm going to try and hold off. I remember watching Advent Children online and before it released on DVD and it ruined the experience for me when I finally got my copy. Kingsglaive looks a million times better than AC so I'd want my first viewing to be the best viewing..and that would be watching the Blu Ray of the film that comes with the Deluxe Edition of the game!

I should clarify, I'll be looking for a decent English version, not some shaky-cam Japanese version on. If there isn't one until the English release in the US and there's a theater nearby, I'll wait.

Yay, I've been wondering what those things were for ages. Hope they turn out to be the same as those strange mechanical beings from the in-progress NA cover for XV. And from the sound of the second quoted above comment, the movie will end with
Lunafreya walking away from the devastated Lucis with Regis' ring in her possession. Probalby with all the Kingsglaive dead and Regis presumed dead/actually dead.
This is clearly going to be an emotional experience.

Oh, and before anyone says it, I take the early positive response as a good sign. Most VG-inspired films have gotten mixed to negative comments from early screenings prior to a full release and journalist reviews. The Warcraft movie is a classic example.

Wow, that brought back a lot of memories for me, I remember being in high school my friend had the Japanese version of Advent Children burnt onto a DVD that he brought into school on his laptop and we watched it in the band room (I was in band in high school, played a saxophone). We didn't understand anything that was being said, as it was all in Japanese, but it was so cool to watch all the scenes.

This was about 10 years ago.

Monster FFVII International makes surprising appearance.
So... that really was Diamond Weapon...?

Warning: complete spoilers are already being posted out there I all the usual cesspools. I don't know what the rules are here, but I won't be linking or discussing any of them. I don't mind a teaser or two, but full on spoilers of the whole plot have a tendency to get discussed casually so I won't have a part in making that happen.

I really just don't get why people post this shit to begin with, or why everyone eats it up and keeps spreading it. There is absolutely zero upside to it. They're called spoilers for a reason.
