they really should have made clear since the beginning what the stream was all about (or give a vague description at pre-event info), instead of fueling false hope and needing to apologize for a big crowd at the end for not giving the information the fans craved.

FFXVs marketing is simply a mixed bag.

Their marketing team either needs to be trained, or overhauled completely. This vagueness and lack of clarity/direction is annoying people rather than exciting them.

Is ffxv’s marketing team genuinely confused? Why get people hyped with vaguely announced streams, when they end up being basically nothing of substance that would hype players? Just make it clear “we’re gonna show off some collabs” so that we don’t start hating square’s livestreams. I feel like the people in charge of these decisions are living under a rock and don’t understand how modern hype advertising works.

And Why do they waste so much time on some of these strange collabs?

Lmao damn, didn't tune in but I'm guessing Square blue balled everyone again. Surprised that they didn't even have an FFXV Universe trailer this time from the looks of it. Oh well, that Terra Battle collab looks cool as hell though. However I'm annoyed by the fact that Square basically turned the whole dream aspect of FFXV into a collab and special event machine with no real impact on the story.

Edit: Also Square's marketing team needs to be fired, they're extremely out of touch with the community and don't know how to properly keep players invested. This stuff could've easily been a tweet, there was no need to get people curious and interested in a stream like that if that measely bit of info was all they wanted to share. If they really wanna take lessons from the west then they should be taking a look at the marketing style here.

XV never had dreams as a thematic focus (and never was).

Well, the stream was very meh.

As for the Terra Battle thing, they did say Terra Battle 2 Sara in it so I guess Sylva wasn't really wrong about that. Kind of makes me welp at his complaints about things in general.

Delay without any dates is pretty bad though.
