Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

I know "Stand by Me" sort of worked in the context of XV. But after hearing this, I can't help but hope SQEX uses J-pop or something for whichever they decide to make and/or comes out first (XV sequel, highly unlikely, or XVI).

Loved Hikari and Passion.

Passion is one of my favourite Japanese songs ever. Such a unique and magical sound.

Magic to my ears but for some reason, this one isn’t doing anything for me.

The melody seems a bit sporadic. Can’t seem to hum it or get it stuck in my head because of this.

I usually love Utada’s music and she does great theme songs (like the two theme songs for Evangelion) but this one falls flat.

I think Stand By Me was a special exception for FFXV only.

For future titles, I also wish they’ll go back to Japanese music.

Just don’t do what FFXIII did with My Hands by Leona Lewis...

I didn't like it much at first. But it grew on me, and I found the melody became familiar and memorable without being intrusive. And yes, I'd prefer them not to pull a My Hands on us again.

I entirely forgot that there was a King's Knight mobile game... So this is the only way to get that outfit and skin for the game?

its a collab event, you need to farm some coins in Kings Knight to unlock the rewards in the main game.

playing FFXIV, but yeah thinking about messing around with comrades a bit.

managed to contact the leaker, some additional info (subject to change/to be false):

- quest to upgrade to type d regalia involving needing to get offroad tires for cindy
- get parts that can enhance type d including damage later on
- race track things
- take the boat between galdin, caem, altissia
- can go fishing, bros prompt for fishing and shit. ignis gets a sushi recipe of his own design
- more quest things with prompto for photos kinda
- need keys to get around insomnia
- get files for the book thing with omega weapon

Interesting, we need keys to get into the citadel? I like the sound of this, especially the other things in regards to Omega, Cor, and Lunafreya. It looks like we have more things to do in Insomnia.

Interesting, I wonder if he knows anything about the new monoliths in the dungeons too.

Hopefully the keys have to do with entering new areas. I really want that new map to be surprising.

I feel like you fight omega more than once too.

- other stuff like if you go too close to mikagejima/angelgard there's a prompt that the others aren't worthy so they can't go near it, noct gets a headache + ignis takes over the boat. idk if it'll be in the final but i think it will be
- number of photo op quest things, esp w/ the boat
- and abt the regalia stuff? it's not rebuilt, it's a replica/spare one found and it should be called a replica one, but idk we'll see. that's what's going on w/ the line with the older bros though
- other charas ancestor things going into comrades too - aranea, iris, ravus, regis

once again, all this is subject to change/to be false.

Yeah, we'll see if any of this is true by March, but then again, it most likely is, if this was data-mined as well, and let's not forget that Roy and Ryu were also data-mined in SSB 3DS prior to their official reveal when people were data-mining the Mewtwo patch happened, for example. But we'll see what happens.

hopefully this is all true (except the lame chapter 10 update), don't want to hype anyone just to be dissapointed in the end; leaks are always interesting tho.

Ahhh okay! That's a nice addition. I do hope they get around to doing stuff with Iris and Aranea at some point but I have a feeling it will be WoR/Chapter 14 related and not Comrades. Though, I am curious about those other comrades updates to have the bros put in.

Yeah, it should have been. The only way he could pull this info I'm assuming.

It doesn't seem too overly ridiculous with wishlist content, and actually has things people may not want lol so I'd say its pretty realistic.


I think the most important thing we can pull from this is is that it seems like either the Royal Update or the March update incorporates the Regalia in Chapter 14 in some way. We don't know yet, but this is a solid start.


Edit: And I'm okay with those chapter 10 quests as long as they plan on making Cartanica open at some point. 90% of the assets are there. Just add a few stores and things to do and 10 decent side quests and bam you have an open world.
