PS4 Pro support for FFXV looks really good, we only get a second or two of gameplay, but it's pretty clear that there's a huge visual leap comparable to the PC build. This also confirms that the progress made on the PAX builds was running on standard PS4/XBO hardware and not the newer models.

FFXV will look and run great, even on the normal PS4/XBO, but even better on this newer hardware.

Interesting. Wondering if this PS4 Pro support will be available at XV's launch. And also if they are going to take advantage of the HDR firmware update for standard PS4, and if so, will it be at launch or rather down the line post-release?

Plenty to talk about after this evening! First of all was the Abbey Road concert. Yoko shimomura is a musical genius, I always had faith she would deliver with FFXV based on her work with Kingdom Hearts. It was great to hear all the songs we are all familiar with played by a live orchestra and you could tell how much it meant to her playing the piano with the London Philharmonic at the end. Noctis's theme was quite unexpected, it had a real emotional depth to it. I also think Luna's theme is epic, probably the best part of the Kingsglaive soundtrack for me. Heres hoping this bodes well for her character in the main game and she is fully fleshed out.

I'm loving the steady stream of content leading up to release at the minute, including Gamescon, PAX, the Brotherhood episodes, Kingsglaive and tonight's concert. It's making the wait a bit more bearable and that's not forgetting the last Brotherhood episode and also TGS coming soon.

Lastly, I'm not quite sure to what to make of PlayStation Pro. I've been quite happy with my PS4 and my current TV for a while now and I have no plans to upgrade to 4K. I think it will benefit FFXV in a lot of respects, but as long as if FFXV performs to the required standard on PS4 I'll be happy.

the concert was utterly fantastic, Noctis theme was so unexpected but had a lot of depth.

Nox Aeterna
Omnis Lacrima
Apocalyptis Noctis
Somnus
Luna (teared a bit)

... are incredible, this can become my favorite FF ost; another thing that impressed me is how shimomura is so humble and reserved, she's just a normal person and knowing she did these epic tracks is amazing.

also this is worth a read: http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/fi...fantasy-xv-composer-yoko-shimomura-interview/

"Since it's been so long since Final Fantasy XV's first iteration, it's easy to think that the music may have changed in that time, too. But it seems the game has always had the same music thematically.

"There wasn't a huge change musically," said Shimomura. "The core of what we started with Versus XIII carried over and it really wasn't a case of not being able to use any of the stuff that we had with Versus.

"Obviously what did happen with the changeover was a lot of new stuff was added, a lot of pieces of the world didn't exist in the plan Versus XIII and I had to create new stuff for those."

Concert was amazing - glad to finally know the names of these epic tracks. I am bathing in the beauty of Noctis and Luna's themes. I don't know why, but I feel like these 2 tracks almost complement each other in a way. I can't stop gushing at how talented Shimomura is.

I mean, it looks good, but I don't think the same area with denser foliage would look that much worse in the normal PS4 build that we saw in the Japanese 30min and in the PAX footage. I'm really indecisive right now about whether I should buy an OG PS4 for ~200€ and put the 200 I save towards the NX or so. 4K and HDR don't matter to me as I don't even have a Full HD TV yet :D Yeah, I would still profit from a more stable FPS and better IQ at 1080p, but is it worth 200€ more? I don't know, let's see...

It's like the equivalent of choosing between the ps4 and an $800 pc. But, half the price and none of the other stuff you get with a pc. So it's not like that at all. You know what I mean.

Whether or not it's worth it, totally up to the individual. There's no easy answer. Timing, cash flow, etc. Like any mid-generation upgrade, some will happily skip it. Some will jump right on it, and others will get one for the first time, or to replace a broken one.

Seems to show that XV is still Versus but bigger.
