Edit: finished reading that Wiki article - holy crap, way too many names I've never heard before coming at me. xD

@Sapientia, been doing a fair amount of FFVII research the last few days and thought you might like to know that I came across some confirmation of the three Silver-Haired Men representing different parts of Sephiroth:

Kadaj represents his cruelty;
Yazoo represents his allure;
Loz represents his strength.

Haven't fully read any story novellas directly, but instead just been checking out Ultimania translations and such for full facts and research, which has cleared a lot of things up, and then came across this, which I thought I'd share since you mentioned it.

I actually have a question, though they are probably explained in game and I just never saw it.

1. Final Fantasy 4, Rydia. How is she older when she rejoins the party later in the game? (I played this when I was 12, so I probably didn't understand)

I had to research this because I only completed FF IV once and that was roughly 10 years ago but here it is:

After Leviathan gets her, he takes her to the Home of Eidolons where time moves faster so while for Cecil and his allies only a a short time passes, in the Feymarch (where Rydia is) years go by and she grows into a young woman under Leviathans watchful eye. Thus when she leaves the Feymarch and reunites with the others she is much older than before.

aand one of the burning questions that plagued me since I played FF4 on the PS1 has been answered. Could of googled it anytime but I always forgot about it. Thanks. I know I have more but I cant think of any right now.

The whole thing reminds me of a scenario in the TV-series ANGEL, where the infant son (named Connor) of the vampire hero Angel is taken to Quor Toth, a hell dimension where time moves much faster than on earth. Connor returns to earth after only 6 months but has grown into an 18 year old by then. It seems this kind of storytelling element seems to be quite popular in fantasy fiction.

I have no idea, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was involved to rearrange some of his own tracks. But remember, Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano worked on this, too, so either each person is arranging his own tracks, or perhaps just Hamauzu is arranging the whole thing himself. No idea!

Yeah, I totally forgot Hamauzu and Nakano worked on this as well... However, I wouldn't be surprised if Uematsu was involved, seeing how he composed and arranged some songs for XIV.

Did Uematsu compose FFXIV, too? The 2010 FFXIV, not ARR.
Or did they re-use the tracks and add a few more in?

Yeah, Uematsu did the whole initial FF14 game OST. Then he and a bunch of other composers did more new ones for ARR, too.

As I'm in the middle of an FFXII playthrough I noticed something awhile ago but was either too distracted with how awesome the story was moving along and the excellent battle system I didn't notice...in the very opening mission of the game where you play as Reks, the one who kills him and the King isn't Basch, correct? It's his brother, the Judge Gabranth...? My knowledge of FFXII isn't very impressive lol.

Eh. There's nothing wrong with that kind of thing as long as the game is actually GOOD, right? I think the problem is with crappy spin-offs, but good ones? Bring them on!
