Yeah. I have little doubt that they would have released a trailer or something would the delay not exist. Although, MAYBE they wouldn't have released no less than 52 minutes of gameplay for people to play. Or maybe they would, these things aren't a last minute thought. I don't know.
Haha, yep! That's why I think it's quite original: adding, for example, healing properties for you (or your party, I don't know) to Fire is definitively something I didn't expect this game would have. I wonder the amount of items (and their variety), but it looks pretty promising.
And yeah, now that you mention it, I remember having seen different tiers of Fire, but I wasn't sure if that was something that had survived. The 2014 TGS demo's Fire spell was fucking huge.
And we still don't know what ring magic can do beyond the Wall thing (I think, haven't watched KG) and what that "?" refers to. I'm actually pretty surprised in regards to the amount of weapons, abilities, combos, attires, accesories... I expected the game to be much scarcer in that regard. Hell, I didn't expect that weapons would affect the basic character stats, or that the alt costumes (which btw, it seems there's going to be more of them in the game than I had originally anticipated) could improve those stats as well.
