That 'super spoiler' you posted was Ardyn's death in the main game, so hopefully that loading screen proves the DLC is canon to the main game's story's continuity/Timeline.

Here are some more things I've found in a folder called image_titan in the end_credits folder. They're not related to EA, but this folder didn't exist in previous builds.

Maybe the end of the DLC fast-forwards to the end of the main game where you fight Noctis and lose.

Today, a free update for FFXV, FFXV Windows Edition, and FFXV Comrades was released.

Oh yeah! It'd be Patch 1.30 then.. Alright there is still hope.

Possibly, but according to SteamDB, there hasn't been any updates to the dev branches in over a month (February 19th). They haven't gone this long before without a single update. I think it's likely development on the game has officially ended.
