Yeah same, i like the alternate one but i'd love a choice to switch to the first main menu screen whenever i'm in the mood.

I'm gonna be real I hope they don't add the ability to switch between the main title screens because having the L1 and R1 prompts in the upper right would be so ugly

EDIT: nvm thought they were just highlighted but realizing now that they're magnifying them in the ep. ignis pic. Having them small like that wouldn't be terrible.

The screen of the game should remain unchanged...

I like it as a reminder of Noctis & Luna duties and journey having concluded, freeing Eos from the eternal night (og screen), bringing back the light of dawn and day.

I'd be ok with it reverting back to original when you start a New Game file.

yes like i said its in the game but with a different size

some weapons were shrunk coming from past versions

old

final

just a preference really, i think the newer designs are way too small to appreciate and the mechanical/ornamental look less evident; the wyvern blade took almost half of the entire weapon originally and now its just a tiny tip.

Thank you for the suggestions so far, I can only really work on one new model however because of time unless I want to spend a lot of time on this.

So far, the Brotherhood seems to be the sword that makes the most sense for Final Fantasy, however, I'll probably just find a model online for it instead which means I'm interested in creating at least one more model.

The weapons that exist in the game with slight variations I don't have any interest in doing because they too closely resemble something already in the game. The Soul Edge and Soul Caliber are pretty crazy looking weapons which are too big of a task for a simple mod I think.

Not a particularly crazy sword but definitely one I'd like to see:

But the main game is like 10-15h... and considering the bulk of content is only in the post game, pretty much everyone spends more time in the post game. The post game song and logo have no relation to v13 and no history or reference of this game's long development. They're hollow and empty shells for everyone that wanted this game since 2000s. The option should definitely exist to change back to the better song and nigh-screen (that is more representative of the intended dark nature of the game)

What does the time have to do with the song a logo?

And tell me what's the post-game?

Noctis having a melancholic trip down memory lane of his journey prior to everything going south with Luna's death, Starscourge advance and night darkness covering the planet, just before walking tall torwards fulfilling his duty as King of Light (no coincidence that Umbra gives you the book just before confronting Ifrit/Ardyn). What players do here is have fun and a light time while doing side quests and travelling around the beautiful world, nothing dark and depresing what so ever.

The post game music and logo are perfectly on point and represent XV's story well.

Also why should XV's logo and music be forced to represent something they're no longer?

Honestly I'd argue that the logo change far outweighs the significance of Somnus in relation to V13. I will never forget the feeling it gave me to see Luna fade into the logo we've seen for 10 years only to have Noctis follow her and finally complete it. That being said would still be cool to switch between the two.

Even w/o sidequests the vanilla game still lasts twice the length of that wthout speedrunning.

XV isn't one of the longer titles in the franchise but it ain't that short.
My first playthrough in Dec 2016 was just under 16h. I wanted to know the ending and avoided the random sidequests since they didn't fit the narrative either way. But I didn't skip dialogue and enjoyed myself doing the main missions as intended, not rushing them. It was still pretty short. As of now, I have almost 400h on my save file. So the bulk of my game-time was spent in the post game :I

I wonder why they mentioned skipping a cutscene in chapter 3 specifically? What was the significance of that?

It's good to see that player's can now choose to opt for Ignis with his hair unstyled. More customization options for the bros is always a welcome addition.

I wonder why they started with the background switching option for Episode Ignis, and not the main game?

Changing the title screen music and background seems more consequential and more of a big deal for the main game, not a DLC. For what it's worth, I do hope they will allow us to switch back to Somnus and the night sky. Even after viewing the ending, I still think the dark night sky and Somnus is more fitting than the uplifting nature of the post game title screen and Noctis's Theme.
