was hoping for at least one expansion for the base game.

Same. Ardyn/Noct/Luna are labelled as episodes 1-3. Aranea is labaelled as side story. Hope her story is integrated into the main game with an expanded Gralea.

Can anyone explain why they keep saying that they decided to go with alternate happy ending DLCs due to fan input? Honestly, I have never seen/read any significant amount of people asking for that. Pre-Invasion Insomnia and/or Regis have been requested tons more. Who is that unhappy with the ending?

They didn't mention free updates, I think we'll keep getting those as usual.

At the beginning of the new DLC explanation, i think he said we would be able to play with Ardyn but im not sure.

No idea, all I've ever seen is people acting negatively towards it. If they are trying to sell this dlc to me, they're doing a crap job. I'd rather play an episode Kenny than an alternative ending dlc.

I would like to see an alternative line in that episode where Noctis live the Insomnia invasion.

Cant say I care about the alternative ending. We get to see Nifelheim's fall in Aranea's DLC. Ardyn clashing with the Astrals, and not sure about Luna...but hey, more Luna. Fantastic news

Alternative story mixed feelings aside, great announcements. Now I have an urge to upgrade to gaming PC a buy XV again.
