trying FFXV without Versus shadow lumbering the experience (10 years of expection man) sure was a good thing for newcomers.

because they didn't explored Gladio's potential as they did with Ignis and Prompto; photography and culinary are way more popular than picking random items lol.

The veteran thing doesn't surprise me too much given how diverse the hardcore side of the FF fandom are in impressions & other elements unique to XV.

Overall, nice to see a healthy set of newcomers obtained as an audience.

I know for sure some of the vets instantly compared FFXV with their favs instead of judging the game on its own pros and cons. It should have been evident that FFXV as a product wasn't striving to be a copy of whatever that vet's personal favorite is. While I'm not saying there is anything wrong about that approach, it can make some future mainline titles seem worse than what they may actually be. When a lot of those vets today were newcomers in the past, I'm sure they judged the game on its own due to limited experience with the series. It is unfortunate that some will not be able to go back to that.

The description says it was curated by FF Union. More than that is unknown. I don't think it's from Square Enix. It's just a survey from an FF news site that I found interesting, so I posted it here.

Well that was extremely unexpected.

I never would have thought they would be bringing the chain link attacks back.

This just goes to show how unpredictable the dev team can be when it comes to adding stuff into the game.

In a way, this makes me look forward to other surprising additions they may add in the future.

Magic is mapped to a trigger button and also has curative spells, both consuming MP. Classic FF. It does away with the bomb mechanic that took up a weapon slot and required crafting. Loved magic in main game but hardly used it because of that. Love this new magic system.

Bruh, honestly with what we are seeing with this comrades expansion, anything is possible with the games expansions. Honestly, I think they know how big of a potential the games story and lore actually is, and I really do think Gamescom is going to spill the beans on a lot of great expansion plans, sans this awesome Comrades one.

We know they are willing to add more to certain story events, such as new Ravus, Ardyn, Luna, Gentiana cutscenes and villain motivations, but are they willing to expand, provide alternative outcomes to certain events?

What I mean by this is some of the most requested things involve a Ravus bossfight in Chapter 5, more exploration in Altissia, increased interaction with Luna before Chapter 9 (which I guess could just be her made playable without actually meeting Noct), actually stopping in Niflheim locations/exploring that area (I can see the comrades expansion doing this instead though), and more.

I know that Tabata has stated that the first area he wants to expand on to make playable was Insomnia, an Infinite Dungeon surely sounds like an amazing concept there if done right with the comrades expansion, same with Gralea.

i expect comrades to happen mostly or entirely on Lucis (World of Ruin), but we'll see.

Seriously, the woman in those screenshots... She's amazing, doing all that stuff. And she looks feminine without being girly, and they didn't need to do that many new animations from the look of it. Just....wow. Colour me impressed.

God, with this, I'd also love to have a playable version of Kingsglaive. This type of magic system with Nyx vs. Glauca would be absolutely intense.

Funnily, first I was not so interested in this online DLC (since I don't have a PS Plus account) and was a bit disappointed, because I have the season pass,
but now to see the new magic-system how it works and looks, the dark world, the avatar-system, I'm really interested in this DLC and want to make new account only for this xD
