Cut content falls into the other side of the park where ''the grass is always greener on the other side''. It's a form of bias mentality where in most cases the person is completely unaware of it themselves. Whatever you don't have, you wish to gain, so to see cut content, be it better or worse, you simply want it because it's something new that you don't have. But in the jest of it, the logical train of thought becomes lost as one becomes too fixated on what something is not to make it become something that is.
In an alternate reality where the contents have been reversed, what ''is'' here is ''is not'' there and people would still fall into the same spiral of wanting greener grass.
