“We held back a bit of information during E3,” Square Enix marketing manager Akio Ofuji said during the broadcast. “We are preparing with high praise to do all sorts of things on a large scale this summer.” (Editor’s Note: “With high praise” is a joke—it’s sort of a Japanese slang trend at the moment.)

Director Hajime Tabata added, “That’s right. We’ve been extremely busy. We have to be sure to have some good announcements in the summer.”

Tabata then confirmed that information would come at Gamescome in August, with Tabata saying, “I want to put out some good news during Gamescom.”

The future DLCs based on the survey is guaranteed to be one of the announcements.
My personal bet, I predict we will finally get something about the the Comrades DLC.

I don't think they'll announce any DLC from survey until TGS or the end of the year. There's no possible way they have any of those DLC in a production phase beyond conceptual. At most, we'll see the results from the survey on July 1st. Gamescom will most likely see more of the VR game being highlighted, announcement of the multiplayer mode, announcement of major story revisions, and gameplay footage of Episode Ignis. We will likely also see updates for the magitek suits and CEO Boss fight.

I don't mind if they can't exactly show the story stuff off visually, just in-depth detailed discussions about them would be enough for me. Anything else that isn't about the survey & Episode Ignis is bonus stuff imo.

They said that they understand the showings at the last two Gamescom were underwhelming, but they're still teasing "major" announcements. I think we can expect to see, in order of probability:

1) Episode Ignis
2) Multiplayer
3) Monthly update roadmap
4) Major expansion DLC

That is a possibility.

I'd imagine there will be a lot of quests surrounding the new vehicle mode.

I get how you feel man. I said it near the top of the previous page for this thread, they're not doing a good job of including the western audience into their new promos and product releases.

More sales in the west so I'm not sure why they're not trying to include us more

For example if they released an English version of the Anthology comic, I'd buy it.

I hear you. But take heart, Final Fantasy World posted a summary article, and Google Translate can actually translate French almost perfectly into English. They revealed that Monster of the Deep is in fact the current form of VR Experience - the original 2016 demo featuring Prompto was essentially a prototype based directly on Episode Duscae, and a fishing sim was chosen over a shooting game due to development difficulties, and the wish for gameplay immersion and player entertainment.

I honestly would have rather watched the recent ATR recap in english than that bland cringefest that was the FFXV universe livestream from E3 (didn't even last an hour ffs). At least Tabata and Ofuji can throw a curve ball of some decent goodies at times, and less shit pacing.

So it's the 27th tomorrow in Australia. I wonder will Episode Prompto be released tomorrow or will we have to wait an extra day for it to be released in the US first?
